Can you recomend a good skin care product that moisturizes rough scaly skin?

I have a patch of skin on my ankle that is rough, scaly and discoloured. Can you recomend something that can make it less itchy and painful.

And yes my doctor has looked at it and she says that's not what skin cancer looks like, and that was that...Can you recomend a good skin care product that moisturizes rough scaly skin?
I can't believe your doctor didn't recommend or prescribe something for it. To me it sounds like you may have a patch of eczema. There are a few creams you can use to get rid of it. First for the itching use a cortizone cream or Benadryl cream and let that dry on there then to moisturize the dryness and et your skin pretty again use eucerin cream. It's more like a paste but that stuff is good. Years ago I babysat a toddler who had been born with no oil glands in his skin so imagine how dry and scaly his skin was and I put eucerin cream on him before bed and that stuff made him feel sooo good. I hope this advice helps. Let me know how it turns out. mmflyn801@yahoo.comCan you recomend a good skin care product that moisturizes rough scaly skin?
Aveeno products work great....you can get the collodial oatmeal bath and mix it into a paste and put it on the area at night and then put Aveeno lotion on it during the day

the oatmeal will help in the healing process and it soothes
Alpha-Keri products are designed for your problem exactly.
The Body shop has Some Great Body butters that work and for something even Stronger Tea Tree oil helps with that sort of thing!
Sounds like excema maybe? Um, I use Aveeno baby wash and I just picked this hemp Malibu lotion from wall mart.. Yea I know... sounds totally off the wall right! But seriously, it helped me like over night and it doesn't leave your skin looking shiny and oily like Sheah butters tend to do to me!
E45 is very good, ive tried it before

goodluck
Try Aquaphor-Eucerin. you can find it pretty much anywhere.

I use this product and it really works.
you look like someone of color. if so, and or otherwise, i recommend getting african shea butter. none of that stuff you find in wal-mart or anywhere else that's corporate branded that sells corporate branded products. if you go to flea markets and see black merchants with it then get it, it's worth it. it's yellow and hard, has a pretty good fragrance. once you rub it between your palms it breaks down fairly well and looks and feels greasy, but not so much really. email me if you need more info. hope this helps.

I have been using Xtend-life skin care products for the past four months. After using them for 14 days my fine lines started disappearing. I started with the night cream and then gradually added the rest. My skin has never felt or looked better. Report Abuse

Hello,

I have been where you are., searching for the right skincare routine. It wasn't until I experimented with a natural approach (and the tweaking of my eating plan) that I've seen long-term results. You don't need commercial skincare products to treat wrinkles, age spots, and puffy under eyes.

Natural (and cheaper) alternatives:

1. Age spots: Rub raw lemon juice on the age spots. They will become lighter.

2. Wrinkles: Do you have tumeric powder and sugarcane juice? Mix these two together and apply to wrinkles. Use this 2 times a day. This helps remove wrinkles.

3. Puffy eyes: Use virgin olive oil under the bone of your eye everynight. Also, place raw potato slices over your eyes for 15-20 minutes.

I hope that helps you out. If you need any more assistance, please feel free to email me.
Time Wise Mary Kay. The Miracle Set was designed for your customers who want a daily, age-fighting skin care program that鈥檚 customized to deliveryounger-looking skin.

HOW DOES THE MIRACLE SET WORK? As the skin ages, its renewal rate slows. It becomes drier, less firm and less radiant. The Miracle Set works to counteract these processes by removing dead skin cells, reducing fine lines and wrinkles,

keeping the skin moist, energizing the skin鈥檚 cells and rebuilding the skin.

鈥?Gentle cleansing beads in TimeWise庐 3-In-1 Cleanser and TimeWise庐 3-In-1 Cleansing Bar remove dead skin cells through exfoliation.

鈥?A patented鈥?complex in TimeWise庐 3-In-1 Cleanser and TimeWise庐 Age-Fighting Moisturizer reduces fine lines and wrinkles by accelerating the skin鈥檚 natural renewal process.

鈥?A dream humectant blend in TimeWise庐 Age-Fighting Moisturizer keeps the skin moist.

鈥?Nourishing botanicals in TimeWise庐 Day Solution Sunscreen SPF 25鈥? help energize the skin鈥檚 cells, while UVA and UVB sunscreens help protect the skin from sun damage.

鈥?An anti-aging peptide in TimeWise庐 Night Solution stimulates collagen to smooth and firm the skin.

WHAT MAKES THE MIRACLE SET DIFFERENT FROM OTHER DAILY SKIN CARE REGIMENS?

Mary Kay offers one of the only complete daily age-fighting skin care systems that can be customized by skin type. The products in other skin care regimens in the marketplace may not be designed to work together to deliver the best results, but the Miracle Set pulls the pieces together. It鈥檚 a collection of skin care products that are formulated to work together to deliver the benefits your customers need for younger-looking skin.

There is a awsome skin care line that I have been using for the last year, It is Serious Skin Care and you can only find it on the home shopping network. I swear by it and they have a line of products that is specifically made for women in there 40's. In is the C-line with vitiamin c and ester. You can try it and if you don't like it they will give you a full refund. They have a cream especially for puffy eyes, its called high bright. Every one I know that uses it loves it. and It is non irritating for any skin types. I love all there products!
Well, if you want it the natural way, try extra virgin olive oil. You can use it as a moisturizer on your face, neck, body and hands. For puffy eyes, cucumber or ice. age spots I dont know, consult your derma.
I use the following products from BeautiControl. They are made especially for skin over 40. I noticed a difference right away in my skin.

Both my dad and husband suffer from dry skin and discoloration in the face. I got them both putting Palmer's coco butter on there faces at night. There skin looks amazing and smooth and the discoloration is fading. I would also suggest a sun screen during the day. It will help ward off any further damage. I use one by oil of olay called complete all day moisture lotion SPF 15. I have been using this product for over 10 years. People guess I'm 19, I am actually 25. So I think it works. You may also want to get a clay mask to use weekly(like Freeman avocado and oatmeal) It will help purge your pores which makes your skin smoother and firmer. All of the products I've mentioned are available at Wal Mart or Target.
My husband uses my artistry products. It really has been working for him. A women asked him the other day what he had done different because she had noticed the difference. I use Artistry Time Defiance, and we love it.
of course it is OK for men to go to dermatologists if they need an expert opinion on their skin...I know many that have. try: Nivea for Men its Niveas line designed especially for men and what there skin is most prone to... asking a dermatologist won't hurt!

How effective are Revitol products for skin care?

I'm really having problems with acne and pimple scars on my face and so far I can't find a skin product that works on me. I discovered Revitol, namely Revitol Acne Spot Gel and Revitol Acnezine Acne Solution. I was wondering if these are effective. Also, where can I buy these products here in manila? Moreover, how much do they cost? How effective are Revitol products for skin care?
well my family have used both the cellulite cream and i used both the acnezine solutions and swear by it, it worked wonders for me

we got our creams from http://www.revitol.site88.netHow effective are Revitol products for skin care?
There are many products out there that are great for acne treatment. The most popular is Proactive, though many customers complain of the drying effect. You may want to check out Murad's acne treatment. It does not contain the trying agent, so it is much better on the skin. Here is a review of the murad system: http://glamouredited.com/skin/Murad_acne鈥?/a>

I've tried revitol products but not their acne products. There's quite a few complaints about the company as a whole , check the better business bureau (use their website address to search for them) and you'll see how many complaints they've gotten. In general, I would recommend the murad system. Good luck!

What is the best brand of Skin Care Products?

I am wanting to start a cleansing routine at night. What should I get. It doesn't have to be cheap. This is my face so I am willing to spend some money. What is the best brand of Skin Care Products?
It really depends on what you are looking for in a skincare line. What are your major concerns? If you have a acne skin or sun damaged skin then you are going to need a product that goes deep into the dermis (which is the second layer of skin) If you do not have alot of problems than I would go with a mild line which is Cedaphil.

You are going to want to cleanse morning and night and use a toner which will get your skin back to it's normal PH balance and then you are going to want to have a exfoliater and do that once a week and then you put on a moisturizer and a sun screen for the daytime.

I hope this helps! What is the best brand of Skin Care Products?
Clarins or Neutrogena :-)
For me it's Avene (from France), as my skin is very sensitive. But I hear great praise of Lancome and Estee Lauder. Also Vichy has been improving a lot, and widely available brands like L'Oreal, Nivea and Garnier have good products. But of you're like me you won't use anything tested in animals, so you could check the list at the PETA website.
TRY HERBALS..THEY HAVE NO SIDE-EFFECTS. THEY GIVE LONG TIME GOODNESS.THEY CONTAIN NO CHEMICALS TO HARM YOU.
I always use witch hazel on my face at night. It cleans the skin without overdrying like most other astringents do. I like clean%26amp;clear products, because they keep acne at bay. But if you don't have acne, I would recommend Dove or Loreal products.
if you are willing to spend money, spend some on a beauty specialist. he/she would know what products would work best for your skin type.
LORIALS - Garnier Products are really better than others, I am male form India. and I had very good past exp. from these companys products. for any quiery divyeshlibra@gmail.com

  • What are some good products for skin care?

Anything that works for clearing up pores, minimizing them, giving skin a nice glow even. Any recommended regimen that works would also be helpful!

I know it can all vary depending on skin types, so any information on those would be great too.

Thanks! What are some good products for skin care?
I can tell you what works for an oily/combination skin type. I have tried just about every product at the drugstore and have finally settled on a regimen for my skin. At night I use Clean and Clear makeup removing cleansing cloths, then I use an astringent, usually Sea Breeze or Clean and Clear depending on if my skin is broken out. I apply Estee Lauder Night Repair serum to any blemishes (it says that it is for wrinkles, but it works wonders on stray pimples) and finish off with Clinique moisture surge moisturizer (it is really light and is a gel so it absorbs quickly and doesn't make my skin oily).

In the morning I use either a Biore pore refining cleanser, or Neutrogena acne cleanser depending on what time of the month it is, and then use an astringent, and the Clinique moisturizer.

Hope that helps! What are some good products for skin care?
Clinique's 3 step system. Go to a counter at a department store and they'll match you up to one according to your skin type. They also have a lot of other products for pores too.
Okay- for cleaning pores, try Biore pore cleansing strips. They work REALLY well. I have extremely sensitive skin, and i never get irritated. So this will work with basically any skin type. The same thing goes for this really nice face wash: Clean%26amp;Clear Sensitive Skin Foaming Facial Cleanser. It's oil free too, so it doesn't make u get pimples or anything. Last but not least is a moisturizer: Clean%26amp;Clear Oil Free Morning Glow moisturizer. It honestly gives u a nice glow and moisturizes quite nicely. Hope i helped!

Has any one tried the meladerm skin lightening product by civant skin care?

If you did try the product did you use it to just get rid of scars and blemishes or did you use it to make your skin whiter? If so how long did it take you to see results. I HAVE BEEN USING MELADERM FOR 1 MONTH NOW AND I'M A MEDIUM BROWN COMPLEXION, ALTHOUGHT I'M NOT TRYING TO LIGHTEN MY OVERALL COMPLEXION JUST A FEW BLEMISHES. IT HAS WORKED FOR ME I NOTICE A BIG VISIBLE CHANGE IN THE AREAS WHERE I USE IT. AS FAR A RX FOR BROWN SKIN I HAVE USED THAT ONE AS WELL. Report Abuse

RX FOR BROWN SKIN WORKS AS WELL JUST NOT AS QUICKLY. Report Abuse

Ive used it before. its a good product and does what it says. I didnt use it for underarms though. I was using it on my face and neck to lighten up a dark tan. For some reason my face and neck always get really dark during the summer even if I use sunblock. It took about a month to start seeing the results with the meladerm and after 3 months my face color was back to its original tone.
I've never tried it but have you seen Rx for Brown Skin at Sephora.com?

What are your thoughts on Murad skin care products?

Experience; I hear its good stuff and read some reviews on their site. Any other additional information would be helpful. Thanks. What are your thoughts on Murad skin care products?
Murad has skincare that is effective. I like the murad acne cleanser and gel toner. The cleanser has a menthol feeling to it that made the face feel really clean. The toner had no benzoyle peroxide in it which made it less harsh on my skin.

And they have a skin lighten pigment gel that helps with acne scarring. It takes awhile to work but some scars has lighten up a little bit.

What is the difference between Jarfa Skin Care line and Arbonne's?

Is the quality the same. Is one better then the other? What is the difference between Jarfa Skin Care line and Arbonne's?
I am not familiar with Jarfa's skin care line but I can say that Arbonne's skin care lines are excellent.

    They are:

鈥?Botanically-based: A proprietary blending of science and nature, based on herbal and botanical principles.

鈥?pH correct: Skin care pH of 5.5 ensures maximum benefit.

鈥?Hypoallergenic: Voluntary human testing meets hypoallergenic substantiation claim criteria.

鈥?Dermatologist tested: Voluntary human tests done under the watchful eye of an independent dermatologist.

鈥?Never tested on animals: Substantiation and safety testing is performed at independent laboratories on voluntary human panels.

鈥?Formulated without animal products or by-products: Plants and herbs together with science and technology offer superior benefits.

鈥?Formulated without mineral oil: Occlusive oil can interfere with skin functions as well as advanced delivery systems.

鈥?Formulated without dyes or chemical fragrances: Dyes and fragrances are known irritants and can cause allergic reactions.*

Arbonne's products are pure, safe and beneficial.

You can check out my website and send me an email if you have any other questions. What is the difference between Jarfa Skin Care line and Arbonne's?

i used to sell jaffra products a long long time ago, my favorites were royal jelly and almond oil, you know any jaffra dealers now?i want some almond oil, put that in your tub, wow!the smell is wonderful, no need for any perfume or body lotion, I'm not sure what is better,I'm a mary k user now and love it,a little pricey, but excellent stuff, check it out at www.marykay/jbilliter.com, do a virtual tour, good luck
They are both over priced for the quality.... they are multi level scams, you get cheap products for high price I personally do not reccommend either brand
I personally have tried both along with other skin care lines and by far, in my opinion, Arbonne is awesome. I have very sensitive skin and I have not had a problem with anything that I have used.
I did Jafra 30 years ago and have just discovered Arbonne. I am now 50 and whatever it does to my skin is *noticeable*. One thing I can say about Arbonne is that it's Alexa ranking puts it in the Top 25 Network Marketing Companies.

They also are cruelty-free, no animal testing and no animal products or by-products at all.

As for the comments someone made about these products being overpriced -- please. You get what you pay for. When was the last time you checked the price of this type of product at even a Sears or JCPenney? Not cheap.

As for network marketing -- again, please. You try to bring this caliber of product to the market using traditional advertising and warehousing, and it will all have to be sold at Sak's. There are some marvelously high quality products moved to consumers via this business model, check those Top 50 lists and you may be quite surprised.

Can you recommend a skin care product or regimen? What keeps your skin looking good?

I'm not a teenager, but I always seem to have at least one blemish. If you've found something that keeps your face both clear and moisturized, I'd love to know your secret! Can you recommend a skin care product or regimen? What keeps your skin looking good?
I don't know if you meant to ask it in a acne situation or you meant to just keep it healthy.

Honest to God, the best thing to do to keep your skin healthy is to drink the recommended amount of water each day. You do this for a month and you'll start seeing a difference in you skin condition. Keep it up too. Exercise brings alot of blood and vibrance to your face to.

Some other tips are to wash your face everyday. Every other day use a cleanser w/ vitamins in it and a cooling action. It is always best to use cold water. This closes the pores so that dirt doesn't go back in, warm water opens the pores and allows that to happen. Moisturize all of your skin everyday. Your face once a week, and rough spots 2-3 times a day. The best thing though is the water. It's also way easier.LOL.Can you recommend a skin care product or regimen? What keeps your skin looking good?
i know where your coming from i tried many products from drug stores all the way up to leading department stores. but i have been using Chanel precision for almost 2 years now and its the best. just go to Chanel.com and go to skin care and from here they have charts to ';diagnose your skin'; and se what products fit you the best. also i suggest trying energizing radiance toner, and deep purifying exfoliating mousse. though these products may be priced highly its worth it remember its quality not quantity

i hope i have helped you
I am 27 years old and I was still breaking out REALLY bad. Then I got very stressed and I looked like I was 14 again.

I started using Phisoderm Acne Face Wash and then Acne Free blemish gel (both can be found cheap at walmart) and I have not had any bad break outs since October. I got my friend to try those 2 things and it worked so good for her too.
Anything by Philosophy (you get it at Sephora or Marshall Fields)

    Proactive works awesome!
I use proactiv and I must say not only do it keep my skin looking good but it also keeps the bumps and blackheads away. It has also helped with my blemishes, everyone tells me how great my skin looks and how there's a glow to it. It's great. I have the 3 piece system plus a moisturizer. They have many systems go to the website and check it out
I had BAD acne as a teenager and tried EVERYTHING. ( Even dermatologist stuff.) I have Proactive and it's okay- dont think it's the best. I use Mary Kay Deep Cleanser ( Formula 3) and Toner. Once in awhile I'll do the mask. I like it the best cause it works great and it will NOT dry out your skin.

cetaphil is good for gentle cleansing and moisturizing.
clinique is great! and it doesnt irritate ur skin.
I'd go with Clinique, they make an ultra-sensitive skin cleanser that is really nice, I think is called ';Extremely Gentle Cleansing Cream';. I've used some Avon products that have been nice on my skin also. The Anew products are nice. Also talk to a dermatoligist, they might have some prescription stuff that would be good for you too.
Neutrogena Healthy Skin Anti-Wrinkle with spf 15.

    It really improves your skin.

I have sensitive skin as well and it doesn't irritate my skin.

But everybody's skin is different so if one product works for one person it may not for the next.

the best advice i can give you is it to somewhere like boots or debenhams and speak to one of the skin care staff, although i have never had spots i did use to have dry skin that peeled on my nose all the time after using several high street brands such as nuetrogena etc, i went to a clinique stand where they matched the skin care products to my skin and its amazing, i now even use their make up range too! Although the skin care products are slightly more than others they do last for months and in my opinion they are worth the price tag.
    your eritrian? so am i!

What is a good skin care routine to get great skin?

I'm starting a new skin care routine in the morning.

What is your routine and what products do you use?

I'm looking for a cleanser, toner, moisturizer, exfoliator, mask to all have on hand. Thank you :)What is a good skin care routine to get great skin?
I have/had issues with my skin big time. I would be dry and flakey, oily in areas creating blackheads, acne, whiteheads. Ugh, and during THAT time of the month? Forget it.

I've recently started a new treatment, which mainly has been all about diet along with some of my favorite products and my skin is FABULOUS. I can't even tell you. This morning I looked in the mirror and it was GLOWING. My skin tone was even, no red patches, no bumps, small pores, blackheads are almost entirely gone.

Here is everything I use and WHEN I use it.

    1. Aveeno Clear Complexion Daily Cleansing Pads w/ Salycilic acid. I use these at night to get rid of all the dirt and oil that has accumulated throughout the day.

    2. Neutrogena Blackhead Clearing 2 in 1 Pads: I use these TWICE a week. They are very strong and when I used them daily they actually made me break out more, but they really helped with the blackheads, so I cut back to using this pad at night only 2x per week.

    3. Biore Blemish Fighting Ice Cleaner: I use this in the MORNING 2x per week. I tend to use a lot of products so I alternate days so I'm not going too crazy. One morning I'll wake up and just rinse my face with warm water, the next day I'll use this stuff, the next day just warm water, and so forth.

    4. Proactive Refining Mask: I find this stuff in the mall on the Proactive carts. I hate Proactive, would never recommend it but the Refining Mask is GOLDEN for spot treatments if you break out. It's a sulfur based mask which is PHENOMENAL at drying out acne over night and making it noticeablly smaller and less red by morning. You can use it either as spot treatment, OR as an entire face mask. I do it both ways and actually sleep with this stuff on my face. It's gentle and doesn't leave red blotches on my skin that other spot treatments do.

    5. Olay Regenerist Microdermabrasion: I use this ONCE every two weeks. It is a great scrub to get rid of the dull surface skin cells, to turn over skin and to get the baby butt skin hiding underneath. It smooths, evens skin tone, and makes your face super soft.

    6. I've been drinking 1 Liter of water PER day. I get a gigantic Poland Spring and keep it with me all day.

    7. I've been cutting out red meat. I eat lean meats, turkey, chicken, tuna fish, and eating fruits and vegetables every single day. In the morning I'll have a mix of blueberries, raspberries, blackberries and strawberries, these fruits are LOADED with antioxidants which clear your skin of impurities. Lunch, i'll have lean meat, tomatoes, eggplants, apples, and a snack of some almonds.

I've literally cut out ALL garbage from my diet. No cookies, chips, cakes, pasteries, donuts, etc. You'll be surprised, I thought it would be so hard to get rid of junk but just after a couple of days getting the nutrients I SHOULD be getting, I am never hungry, I eat small meals 4x per day, and I never crave junk.

    8. Most important! I've been taking a daily multivitamin, One a Day women's active vitamin (every morning), along with an Omega-3 Fish Oil 1000mg supplement (2x per day, AM and PM) The Omega-3 is something that pretty much everyone does not get enough of. It improves dry skin, it clears complexion, it evens skin tone. (If you decide on starting a Fish Oil supplement, be careful because some brands are not as pure as others, and may contain toxins and metals found in the fish. Make sure if you pick up an oil that it says ';Molecularly distlled to remove pesticides, PCB's and heavy metals.'; I like Natrol Omega-3 Fish Oil. It's definitely a bit more expensive, but there's no way I'm putting toxins and metals into my body. Get the lemon flavored ones as well. It cuts back on ';fish burps'; XP

    9. I've also been running! The exertion and sweat from running has totally been clearing my complexion up as well.

    10. Don't forget the SPF moisturizer in the day! I use Aveeno calming lotion w/SPF every morning.

    11. Get 7-8 hours of sleep!

I know it sounds like a lot, but nothing has ever worked for me. I suddenly got all this motivation and my skin has NEVER looked as good as it does now.

Holy crap this was long. :XWhat is a good skin care routine to get great skin?
The best way to keep your skin healthy is to be careful in the sun.

Limit time in the sun. Try to stay out of the sun between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. This is when the sun’s rays are strongest. Don’t be fooled by cloudy skies. The sun’s rays can pass through clouds. You can also get sunburned if you are in water, so be careful when you are in a pool, lake, or the ocean.

Use sunscreen. Look for a sunscreen with an SPF (sun protection factor) number of 15 or higher. It’s best to choose sunscreens with “broad spectrum” on the label. “Water resistant” sunscreen stays on your skin even if you get wet or sweat a lot, but it isn’t waterproof and needs to be put on about every 2 hours.

Wear protective clothing. A hat with a wide brim can shade your neck, ears, eyes, and head. Look for sunglasses that block 99 to 100 percent of the sun’s rays. If you have to be in the sun, wear loose, lightweight, long-sleeved shirts and long pants or long skirts.

Avoid tanning. Don’t use sunlamps or tanning beds. Tanning pills are not approved by the FDA and might not be safe.

Your skin may change with age. But remember, there are things you can do to help. Check your skin often. If you find any changes that worry you, see your doctor.
    Clinique!!! I love their products:)

They make it so easy-just go to the nearest clinique counter and they will fill out a card with products based on your skin type and needs. They keep your info all on hand and update you of new products you might like. Now I never have to remember which products or colors I need since it is all there at the store.

My skin has never felt or looked better since I started using their products.

My grandma has used clinique for over 30 years and her skin looks amazing at 70:)

just buy a lotion what says ';intense moisterizer'; and it will give you good skin, put it on before bed and in the morning while getting dressed.

  • How long does a new skin care regimen take to work?

I just started a new face wash routine about a week ago. So far I've actually gotten a few break outs. Is that normal? how long will it take to see some good results? How long does a new skin care regimen take to work?
Anything you apply on your skin (cream, cleanser, etc...) takes 28 days to work.

If you are not satisfied after the 28 days then it doesnt suit your skin.

If your break outs dont stop after 2 weeks (maybe its that time of the month) you should not continue.

Hope that helpsHow long does a new skin care regimen take to work?
It depends alot on what products you are using and what brand. I know after selling and using Avon products for a few years now, most results can show a difference in as little as 2 weeks and the most irritant I have experienced with them was a tingling and was told that means it was working. The tingling never lasted more than a few minutes. Hope this helps.
It is normal for your skin to react to something new. You are suppose to keep using it for up to 6 months because sometimes it will take that long for your skin/body to fully adapt to it and work itself out. Don't give up on it yet unless you start getting really terrible breakouts or rashes. Then of course stop its use. But give it time and hopefully it will work out! Good Luck!
It's normal to experience some ';issues'; when you start a new routine. You have to give it 3 months to see if it's going to make a difference.

Can anyone recommend a good skin care products?

I am on the lookout for some new skincare products. My skin is sensitive and on the combination side. I currently use eve lom cleanser, clinique dramatically diffferent moisturizer and clinique moisture surge eye gel, along with bliss oxygen mask.

However I have been getting loads of spots lately which I have never suffered from. I was considering neals yard remedies, Korres or dermologica but unsure if they are any good? Can anyone recommend a good skin care products?

First of all, I would stop using Dramatically Different Moisturizer!!! That stuff is awful!

I use all Clinique skincare products. I use Clinique Superdefense moisturizer, Turnaround Concentrate, and All About Eyes in the morning. At night I use Continuous Rescure Moisturizer instead of Superdefense. This works really well for my skin!!
Forget the products made to make a profit - go to your doctor and ask for diprobase - it is without doubt the best moisturiser you can get, ideal for sensitive/combination skin...

What should be my daily skin care regime?

I am 21 years old and barely use make-up; however; I want to start taking care of my skin. What products and in what order should I be using if my skin is combined? I tend to have acne around my forehead and chin but lately I have been developing them close to the jawbones and the neck. What should be my daily skin care regime?
Practicing a skin care regimen is one of the best ways to keep your skin looking its best. If you get in the habit of practicing your skin care regimen daily, you will get the best results and avoid skin problems like acne or dryness. A basic skin care regimen involves cleansing, exfoliating and moisturizing.

Skin Care Regimen Step 1: Cleansing

The first step in your skin care regimen is making sure your skin is clean. Using a good face cleanser will allow pores to breath by ridding the skin鈥檚 surface of excess dirt and oil. Having clean skin will also allow you to apply makeup more smoothly when you wear it.

Skin Care Regimen Step 2: Exfoliating

Skin rebuilds itself by adding new layers of cells and shedding old ones. Sometimes the older skin cells can create a dry look on the surface and clog pores. Exfoliating is one step in your skin care regimen that does not need to be done every day in order to achieve good results. If you suffer from dry or sensitive skin, you should exfoliate only two to three times a week. Use a gentle face exfoliator to help remove dead skin cells.

Skin Care Regimen Step 3: Moisturize

Poor diet, the environment and your genes can all affect how much moisture your skin has at any given time. Keeping your skin hydrated is important in maintaining its appearance and health, and is a crucial step in your daily skin care regimen. Signs of premature aging like fine lines and wrinkles are signs that your skin is not getting enough moisture. Determine your skin鈥檚 needs, and then invest in a good moisturizer to use at night and during the day.

What is best skin care regime for oily skin?

And this gets even worser during summers. I've to travel everyday in crowded buses. I tend to sweat a lot. Pls. tell me what do I do to remain fresh all day long? Also clothes of what type of colors would suit dusky complexion? What is best skin care regime for oily skin?
I have very oily skin. However, I live in a very dry climate too. The biggest mistake people with oily skin make is NOT moisturizing. They assume that they don't need moisturizer because they have such oily skin, but that's not true. If you don't put any on, then your skin thinks it's going to dry out - therefore it produces MORE oil!

    So here's what I use:

    Biore Ice Cleanser

St. Ive's Apricot Scrub with ALPHA HYDROXY (not the one for blemishes and blackheads, this makes it worse!)

Clean and Clear Oil Free Moisturizer (white bottle with a green top)

I mix the above moisturizer with Neutrogena oil free sunblock for faces. Works wonders! ALWAYS use sunscreen!

Dream Matte Mousse (in the little jar from Maybelline I think.)

Also, I'm not sure what ';dusky'; complexion means, but if you have darker skin, I would go with lighter, natural colors. Whites, tans, creams, etc... This makes you're skin look darker and makes you stand out more! (Have have darker skin kinda too...)What is best skin care regime for oily skin?

How do I get a script for a skin-care product?

Hi, I managed to buy differin gel (there are two types, gel and cream) from both dematologist and GP. Just ask them for it. You can always ask while you visit the GP for other health issues. Check the expiry date too. Good Luck!

What kind of skin care product is good for oily skin?

I have used several different acne products, and the one I'm using now (Clean and Clear Advantage) works okay, but I still don't have acne free skin. I can deal with the occasional pimple, but I take very good care of my skin, i.e. washing morning and night, not touching my face unless washing, wearing makeup only when I have to...etc. so I should see better results that I'm getting. Any recommendations?

Also, I'm currently trying out Neutrogena's: The Wave. Good idea? What kind of skin care product is good for oily skin?
Your skin being too oily is due to over productive sebum glands, which are the source for your skin's natural moisturizing agent. What many people with these over productive glands don't seem to understand is that the glands may not be the problem at all. Your condition may be directly due to either actions that you are taking, or the skin care products that you are using.

The problem with most of the oily skin care products on the market is that they are not developed for effectively treating the problem. These formulas tend to contain alcohol in them, sometimes several different types, which tend to be drying, and often irritating to your skin. Agents that have a drying affect on the skin will only make matters worse.

Your skin has a natural defensive mechanism which signals to the sebum glands that the skin is becoming dry, and that greater production of oil is needed in order to correct the imbalance. Any attempt that you make to decrease the oil that is there is going to produce the same results, so most of the cosmetics on the market for oily skin conditions are useless to you as a treatment.

Other than oily skin care products it could simply be that you are possibly scrubbing your skin too hard when you are performing you cleansing routine. Any type of abrasive action such as scrubbing will also activate the oil glands. If this is not applicable to you, then you need to find yourself a new skin care formula, and I suggest that it be an all natural one.

All natural ingredients are far more effective at treating the problems that you have with your skin than the agents typically found in cosmetics are. The best thing for your skin is the application of plant based oils, waxes, and extracts, as they provide your skin with all of the essential nutrients for health. Certain compounds are also highly effective at balancing your sebum production.

The best replacement for oily skin care products is a formula that contains Maracuja passion fruit extract, and Babassu palm wax. Maracuja extract helps to regulate the production of sebum, which prevents your skin from becoming too oily, or too dry. Babassu wax is beneficial to all complexions, because it has the ability to moisturize the skin effectively without making it oily.

You need to use products that contain ingredients such as these, and avoid the popular oily skin care products on the market, something that never fails is revitol, they also provide free trial offers (check the source box). These natural formulas will make a world of difference in how your skin looks, and feels. You will not have an oily skin problem anymore. What kind of skin care product is good for oily skin?
St.Ives Apricot Naturally Clear scrub is great for oily skinned individuals.

The Wave actually doesn't exfoliate or cleanse your skin.

    It just vibrates it.

    Not worth the money.

For oily skin night cream, I suggest Philosophy's Miracle in a Jar.

Its a little pricey, but worth it.

    : )
you should start using dermologica's cleanser ( dermal clay cleanse), toner ( multi active toner) and moisturiser ( active moist) all for oily skin, its really good and you'll see te difference in your skin in a couple of weeks. also if you find that Your skin gets oily during the day, dermologica have a really good product called clearing matifier, you put on under your moisturiser in the morning an it keeps Your skin oi free all day.
just those products won't do the job, please do use professional products. so neutrogena is good. you should properly take care of oily skin.see here how

Is benzyl alcohol dangerous in hair care and skin care products?

A lot of cosmetic products seem to have benzyl alcohol in their ingredients. Is this a bad thing? Is benzyl alcohol dangerous in hair care and skin care products?
benzyl is not bad. it's probably not a good idea to eat it, but the worst thing it does to me is dry out my skin. i have this acne cream that has benzyl in it and if i use it too much i get really dry, but it works otherwise. Is benzyl alcohol dangerous in hair care and skin care products?
    Benzoyl peroxide is a common ingredient in over-the-counter acne medications. If you look carefully at product labels you'll notice that benzoyl peroxide is in many spot treatments (like Persagel-10, which is 10% benzoyl peroxide) and salicyclic acid is in alot of face washes. The reason is that benzoyl peroxide has been shown to speed up the aging process of skin, so you should never apply it as a thin layer all over your face. Instead, if you want to use a benzoyl product to clear up pimples, put it *directly on the pimple itself*. Don't do anything like apply it all over your face so that you ';wont wake up with any new pimples.';
no its actually a good thing

Can your face build an immunity to different skin care products?

Im going through puberty and my face is starting to break out. I wash my face in the morning and night. I even use a clean and clear kit. I also wear a mask to dry out the pimples, but revitalize it with the moisture lotion. When i first started puberty i could use the mask one day, and the pimple be gone the next, now it takes weeks for it to go away. Has my face became immune to masks and face washes trying to protect it?Can your face build an immunity to different skin care products?
Yes. I found the only one my skin never got used to is the Medicated Acne Package from Bee Royal. That's because it uses a bunch of different medications and not just one or two. This way you never get used to it. It also has a lot of natural stuff too. Google Bee Royal Medicated Acne. Can your face build an immunity to different skin care products?
your skin could be used to it or the product lost it's effective ingredients and expired - shake the products up a little before using them -

A mask is great but generally a spot treatment or once a week application does more for you then daily treatments.

Acne should be a solid face wash, toner and spot cream (Am/Pm)

and the mask once a week or on the general blemish -

Great question, and the answer is yes! Even your BODY gets immune to it. It's like, I used to take tylenol to get rid of headaches but now if i take tylenol it doesn't help... because i take it so much! It's normal and you're smart for noticing!

Not sure how I can help you. I use Biore Clarifying Cleanser with microbeads and my face is KRY-STAL clear! :)
Yes, you can become immune to some products. The products can also make the acne worse. Beware of using any products for acne unless they have been prescribed or recommended by your doctor. Often antibiotics are needed to treat acne, so you should see a doctor about it.

People make all kinds of suggestions about the best thing to do to cure acne. Some cures I’ve heard include putting oatmeal, honey, lemon juice, tea tree oil, cucumber, vinegar, milk of magnesia or toothpaste on your face. Practically every cosmetics company and company that makes personal care products makes something that is a “sure cure” for acne. If we think about this, and use some common sense, we have to come to the conclusion that there is no quick or easy cure for acne, because if there was it would be well known and doctors would be telling everyone about it.

Numerous companies make a lot of money persuading people to buy products that at worst will make the acne worse, and at best may help some people a little. Often fewer products are better. People often make their acne much worse by using too many products. There really is no quick fix for acne. Don’t spend a lot of money on products just because their ads say that they will cure acne. Your doctor is the best person to ask for help, and he or she may recommend some prescription medication or non-prescription treatment that may be suitable for you..

There are some very simple and basic things you can do that cost nothing. Keep your face or any other area affected by acne very clean. Any mild antibacterial soap will help with that. Rinse the area well to remove all soap residue. Drink plenty of water – it really does help to clear up acne. Eat a nutritious diet and get enough sleep. A healthy life style will make a difference. Try to reduce the stress in your life – stress contributes to acne, so also probably the more you worry about the acne and focus on it, the worse it will be.

Probably the most useful and effective things you can do are to apply hot compresses to pustules and cysts and never to pick or squeeze pimples. Playing with or popping pimples, no matter how careful and clean you are, nearly always makes bumps stay redder and bumpier longer.

I could provide free samples if interested.
A lot of anti-aging products out there have a high price tag, but lack the results they claim to justify their price. I personally have been using Arbonne's Nutrimin C RE9. I have clients who have chosen Arbonne over Dr. Perricone's.
I am a big fan of Lancome products, Lancome Renergie in particular, they are all anti wrinkle.

Try something from Arbonne! The anti-aging line is great for dry skin! What are the best skin care products for people in their 20's?
If you are looking for home remedy to reduce wrinkles, try this.

Smear honey on your face and leave it for as long as possible (but 5-10mins a day will do). then rinse off with tepid water mixed with a teaspoon of cider vinegar - this has a neutral pH and will act as a toner.

And if you have some bucks, Lifecell anti wrinkle cream would be a good choice. You can have more information here.

I would say you work more hard on the homemade mask that will be ';free'; as you just take from your foods as ingredient , I have a few different types of homemade mask in my blog, should have some useful for you, you can take a look at http://antiaging-skin-care-tips.blogspot鈥?/a>

Well I used Biore'. It works pretty good for healthy skin and for young looking skin.

What are your favorite skin care products?

Drink lots of water. Basically eat healthy. I have dry skin so i use a cream face soap (Dove). For around the eyes i will dab olive oil. This is great for wrinkles. The moisturizer i use is made by Loreal. Same with the make-up. For many years

i use to spend hundreds of dollars on Lancome products Over the years i have found out that home remedies work just as well. Sometimes i will use Vit. E , just bust open a capsule add to make up or moisturizer. Now I save lots of $ and my skin is always soft %26amp; healthy. Plus Lancome %26amp; Loreal are one in the same company. I also will make my own face scrubs, masks, hair moisturizers, and body scrubs. Brown Sugar and oliver oil mixed is my very favorite, you can add almond oil too. Try it, its great for face and body.
I absolutely LOVE Melba's Paradise Potions. I think she has the best skin care products! My favorite is the Lei Mink Antioxidant/Antiaging Facial Serum. It鈥檚 really made a difference and my face feels so refreshed. Plus it鈥檚 a great price too. You have to try her Satin Sheets hand and body cream, its the most luxourious lotion I have ever tried, it smells great, and its so good for your skin!!
honestly, people have suggested hundreds of products to me for my skin over the years, and having the same skin as you have described, i've only found one product that i'm comfortable with. i use olay daily moisturizer every day after i get out of the shower -- nothing else, and not the oil-free kind. it keeps my skin firm, moisturized but not greasy, and gives it a healthy glow. good luck, hope this works for you!
Get Cetaphil.. It's like the best! There isn't a strong scent, you can wash your face twice a day without irritation and it has a fairly big bottle so you won't have to buy one every month. To make your skin less dry, use moisturizer on your face after you shower.

    鈾?Hope I Helped
I use Biore and I like it a lot. And they also have this moisturizer with SPF 15 that makes your skin very soft.

  • What is the best skin care product you have used?

im looking for a good skin care product. i have a hard time finding anything that works well for me, because i have oily skin, so most stuff just dries out my skin and makes it worse. so yeah, any recommendations are helpful. thanks! =DWhat is the best skin care product you have used?
Well, I cured my oily skin without any topical products. What actually worked for me was peppermint/spearmint tea. I read about it on acne.org, so I decided to try it. I got some Bigelow's Mint Medley tea at Meijer for $2.50, and I drink it twice a day. It tastes a little funky, but I got over that quick, because after about a week or two my skin wasn't oily anymore. And my skin was always drenching with oil and shiny enough to be used as a mirror, because of genetics, but this tea cured it completely which was amazing for me. I really suggest you try it, although any peppermint or spearmint tea should work just as well.

My own personal favorite skin care product, though, is Clean and Clear Persa-Gel 10. I have pretty stubborn moderate acne, but using this along with taking zinc and drinking apple cider vinegar (and spearmint/peppermint tea!) has really helped my skin. What is the best skin care product you have used?
I second the Laneige recommendation. As mentioned, its a Korean line, but its fantastic stuff and totally worth it. I was very glad to have found it in Chinatown.

I've also be very happy with Chanel's Hydromax for a moisturizer. Its expensive but it doesn't make me break out and even makes my pores look smaller.

i use baby wipes to clean my face. i buy the target brand the one with aloe and vitamin E. believe it or not it really does clean my makeup off and doesn't leave it dry.

after that i use loreal active daily moisture spf 15 ( it's for all skin types-CVS) you only need a lil bit to cover your whole face.

    hope this helps:)
I have the same problem as you. What I do is I clean my face with Neutrogena's Foaming Face Wash (blue container), and I moisturize with Aveeno (the SPF kind if I'm going out, but usually just the regular lotion).

    Hope that helps.
    i am using the wave.

it's not like proactiv that makes acne go away, but it's just a cleanser, and my skin in perfect now (i had oily)

What is a good skin care product to prevent or slow aging?

I'm only 24 and my skin still looks young, but I have some friends who are closer to 30 and are really beginning to develop wrinkles. What is a good product to keep my skin looking young? It has to be animal-friendly and under $30What is a good skin care product to prevent or slow aging?
I've never had many good things to say about cosmetics and skin care products, because if you want to be honest about it, probably 98 percent of the skin care products on the market are complete garbage. They do nothing whatsoever to beautify your skin, and, in fact, most of them actually harm your health, because they contain artificial fragrances composed of cancer-causing chemicals. When you put this stuff on your skin, it gets absorbed into your bloodstream and causes liver damage, or even DNA damage. It is a direct promoter of cancer. In fact, according to federal law, nearly all bottles of perfume, deodorant, lotion, shampoo and skin care products are illegally labeled, because they contain cancer-causing ingredients, and yet they have no warnings on the labels whatsoever to alert consumers about those ingredients.

But now there's a new skincare product line from the Amazon Herb Company that is actually healthy. It actually contains only helpful ingredients. None of those harmful ingredients found in most other skin care and cosmetic products are found in this line. The line is called Lluvia, and it's the first line of personal care products that I have been willing to stand up and talk about as being healthy. These products contain potent rain forest botanicals, but more importantly, they have no artificial fragrance, no fillers and no sodium laureth sulfate. They are not made with things like transmission fluid and brake fluid, which are the chemicals found in most other cosmetic products. This is an exceptional product line.

My strategy is to create healthy skin from the inside, through outstanding nutrition. I do this by eating raw foods and drinking raw food juices. If you ever want to see a bunch of people with a really vibrant, healthy glow in their skin, just go to a raw food group. Those who have been eating raw foods the longest will probably have the best skin.

But most of the world isn't going to convert to raw foods, so most people need external nutrition for their skin, and in that case, I think this Lluvia product line is the very best I've found yet. If you're going to put something on your skin, let it be this.

Lluvia has all the products you might expect in a skin care line: Cleanser, moisturizer, a deep penetrating oil that gives healthy oils to your skin tissues and a nice spray to spritz your face. In addition to these products, they have a camu C serum, which is loaded with camu fruit. As you may know, camu is very high in antioxidants and contains an extremely high level of vitamin C. If you put this serum on your skin, there's no question about it: These nutrients will be absorbed into the skin and provide external nutritional.

my mom (43) uses olay products and they work great! she honestly doesnt even have wrinkles, i dont know if they are animal-friendly (im sure they are) and they are thirty dollars and under. also biore and neutrogena have a new skincare line for what your looking for and generally they work great (cheaper than olay).

    good luck:)
Id recommend Youth Resveratrol Pro, its one of the better working ones and will help smooth fine lines for your with dedicated use. Ive used it for almost a year now with no complaints.

Different acne treatments work differently for different people ;-) but I have compiled some info on Proactiv for you, based on reported experience:

    Proactiv Negatives

    ===================

    - irritating

    - dry out skin

    - expensive to keep having it sent to you month after month

    - clear face up, but as soon as you stop using it the acne might come back

    - it bleaches the cloth...

    - doesn't seem to work as well on blackheads

    - skin became darker

    - temporarily red in areas

    - slight burning sensation when applying toner/repairing lotion

    Proactiv Positives

    ===================

    - really does work

    - clears your face up pretty quickly

    - leaves your face feeling soft

    - reduce the appearance of poresDoes proactive and avveno skin care really work?
The combination of Tea Tree Oil soap and the Clindamycin cream is the best for Acne and pimple.

For acne scars I use papaya kojic and licorice base soap and cream which are available online. These work wonders. Maybe it will work on you too. Try searching it through Google 'shopaholic's bargains'
you know, i cant really say. pro active works for me really well but some of my friends that use it say that it doesnt work. i think it just depends on like your skin on how its going to work or not. so try out the pro active, its worth a shot right? :D
Proactive didn't work that well for me. It worked temporarily, then it stopped working.

Obagi Nu-Derm did wonders for me. I had some quite moderate - severe sun %26amp; age spots and Obagi took 'em off. It is not cheap, but it does the job... so I think it more than pays for itself.

The best skin care products I've ever used are made by Artistry. They have a line for, Delicate Skin, Dry Skin, Oily Skin, Acne Problems, Sun Damage, and a line made for guys too, called Tolsom. Also, if you don't like it, they offer a money-back guarantee. Even though you've probably never heard of it, Artistry is in the top five best selling skin products in the world!

I personally cannot use Avon or Mary Kay products ... I have very sensitive skin ... products by Nicole Miller work great for me. I don't have it with me so I'm not sure of the exact name, but Nicole Miller does have a great under eye cream.

Also, for makeup, I use every day minerals and they have a ';concealer'; (called Sunlight) that is specifically for hiding the under eye circles. I have used it and it does work.

I have not tried that particular product, but

mark. (Avon's daughter brand) has a new line of skincare products and the Light Bright hook-up - lighten %26amp; depuff eye gel would be perfect for your concern. I have seen the Cindy Crawford line ';meaningful beaty';... but am wondering if that line is thinking too far in advance and is not needed at my age. Please help. What is the best skin care products for a 24 year old?
Sadly, many if not most skin products, and particularly anti aging ones, are skin harming and skin aging and can cause severe irritation, even cause acne and worse.(confirm with a Google). Some have been pulled from market in France because of cancer causing concerns.

Anything that you simply apply to skin is going to help very little, if at all. And so many products`are ridiculously priced - so apart from aging and harming concerns they steal your money also!

I have had truly remarkable success with safe, natural treatments using only modest cost essential oils and massage. This permanently healed my skin conditions and gave me an unbelievably flawless, healthy, young looking and vibrant skin. Daily thorough massaging with oils feed skin essential beneficial nutrients.and even the first day you will see skin looking healthier and starting to glow.

Massaging tightens and firms and gives you a younger looking skin. Most importantly it exercises and conditions many of face (and some neck) muscles - thus combating weakening of muscles that eventually leads to sagging and wrinkling and lines. I give precise instructions how to best massage in my many other answers.

Massage using a forward and back motion using finger tips and front and sides of fingers depending where on face you apply it. Circular motion is less effective. In a few days skin will visibly tighten, look and feel smoother and healthier.

I can send you testimonials from users who swear by the treatment. Use any oil. I had great success with olive oil.

Review some of my other answers for specific proven anti aging remedies that lessen and greatly prevent wrinkles and lines, crows feet, etc

SOURCE(S): 20+ years research into safe, natural treatments and cures for skin conditions, skin enhancement and anti aging/rejuvenation treatments. What is the best skin care products for a 24 year old?
Your major challenges are staying out of the sun, especially since you're hitting the age where melasma becomes a problem, and keeping your skin hydrated.

I'd suggest using the Dove moisturizing cleanser and facial moisturizer. Put moisturizer on your skin both before you get ready in the morning and before you go to bed at night. When you take a shower or wash your face, pat the excess moisture off, but then work in your moisturizer to capture that water that soaked into your skin.

If you need color in your skin, still use a strong SPF on your face and stay away from both the sun and tanning spas. Use a tinted moisturizer instead, plus a subtle bronzer. Sun is the enemy of skin and is the quickest way to get wrinkles and permanent skin damage. When I was 42 and went to my 25 year HS reunion, it was shocking to see how utterly old and saggy so many of the ';sun goddesses'; from HS looked. I was stuck listening to all the horror stories of skin cancer, Botox and laser treatments. There were a dozen of us who were constantly told how young we looked. Strangely, we all had the same secrets...no tanning and lots of moisturizer. Think about it.

What are the basic skin care products a guy should use?

What are the absolute basic skin care products that a guy should use? I'm not really sure of my skin type, but since I used to have bad acne, and occasionally get isolated pimples even now, I'm guessing I have oily skin. Unfortunately, I can't make sense of all the information I find on the 'net (exfoliants, cleansers, toners, moisturisers, etc.), so I'm wondering what the absolute minimum treatment should be.What are the basic skin care products a guy should use?
Minimum: a cleanser with salysilic acid in it. Anti bacterial specifically for the face. Also, oil-free moisturizer with sunscreen. If you start now and do this you will have amazing skin. You don't need to exfolliate--unless you are old w./ dry skin or really bad acne. Shaving is enough exfolliation. Don't worry about toner, get a good gel cleanser for the face with anit-bacteria properties. Gel cleanser gives your skin a nice, tight feeling. What are the basic skin care products a guy should use?
well i guess you have a combination skin though because one of the big reason for acne to happen is because your skin is dry on your cheeks and oily on other areas but the inner oil glands are not able to push the toxins out hence acne occurs. i would recommend you to use a face wash, toner and moisturiser as a basic. However, its not what you use, sometimes its the brand. i would say clinique for men is good. my husband use to have many of those pimple and acne problems and because im using clinique i recommended him as well and now he is cured. maybe you can seek opinion with the consultant at the counter and they will teach you accordingly. no harm asking for samples to try for a month :) it may help
    there are three steps.

    cleanse.

    tone.

    moisturize.

    weekly exfoliation.

for a guy, basically i know you would never being doing all of this but you deff. need to be cleansing twice a day. try some products like basic cream/foam cleansers and if you dint like them try something with a gentle scrub in it.

i would also advise you to buy a toner, i use netrogena pore cleaner or something, its a clear bottel with blue liquid. use this if you notice your starting to break out, it really helps me ( i have oily skin with the occasional break out). Also buy a moisturizer if you ever feel your skin being dry, or after you tone. Just buy a basic one, maybe with some spf if you'll use it in the morning before you go outside.

    hope this helps
I know how you feel with all the technical advice on how products work and what to do. Here are two simple bits of advice that I have learned when is comes to many things, especially making a decision on our personal health choices. Skin care choices are very critical to our overall health - good or bad.

Point 1: Choose natural when you can. Food, skin care, etc.

Synthetic ingredients in most skin care products are potentially very harmful. Many people do not know this but it is true. i.e. Parabens - an ingredient used in skin care and some food as a preservative has been found in breast cancer patients. Men get breast cancer too.

Point 2: Choose a source that you can trust. Friends or companies.

Most companies are more concerned with their profit statements than your long term health.

Here is an article that will get you thinking along the lines of the above. This source has all natural products (point 1) is honest and does care about their customers (point 2).

The article helped me get on the right track and how to simplify my skin care program. I shave, cleanse and hydrate as they suggest. It is that simple. (Women have more of a challenge but they have women's products too. My wife couldn't be happier with their skin care line.)

The article mainly talks about ingredients. But unless you use ingredients that are natural, safe and effective you will lose in the long run. Here is the article. Go to their website: http://www.XtendSkinCare.com Sign up for their newsletter. Follow their advice. I am happy that I do.

    Man Skin Care Secret Ingredients

For every man skin care is an important daily ritual, similar to brushing your teeth. Obviously, it’s important to you, or you wouldn’t have made this search. Let me tell you about the best solutions for male skin care products on the market today.

Male skin care products have entered a new age. Some companies now realize that it is not only women who care about their looks.

Of course, there are still far fewer “man skin care products” than there are for a woman, but at least you have more options than you used to. If you shave, spend a lot of time outdoors or work in a dirty environment, then you are far more likely to have excessive redness and inflammation.

If you don’t get enough rest or are under a lot of stress, you may have dark circles and bags under your eyes in the morning. If you take a little extra time every day and choose the right male skin care creams, you can take care of all of those problems, before they become permanent signs of aging. Look for Men's Eye Contour Gel.

Man Skin Care Ingredients to AVOID

First, there are some things that you should avoid and they are common ingredients in average man skin care. Just about every after shave cream on the market contains alcohol. Even drug store witch hazel only contains a small amount of the extract. The rest is alcohol.

There’s alcohol in your cologne, your body wash and probably your shampoo. It may be a powerful antiseptic and antibacterial agent, but it’s very drying and is, therefore, bad for your skin’s health.

It increases redness and irritation. You know it burns when you use it on a cut or an area burned by your razor. So, stop using it. The best male skin care creams don’t contain it.

    Beneficial Male Skin Care Ingredients

Every day, after you shave, use a cream that contains witch hazel extract, vitamin B5, capuacu butter and grape seed oil. You will find it soothing and refreshing. If the man skin care cream that you have chosen also contains Functional Keratin, you have chosen one of the best. Look for Men's Facial Fluid.

    Look For This Ingredient

Functional Keratin is the brand name of a new ingredient that reduces redness and inhibits the inflammatory process, completely. It is so similar to the skin’s own keratin (an amino acid protein) that your body can’t tell the difference. So, it absorbs it, and uses it to create new skin cells, collagen and elastin fibers.

The only preservative that belongs in male skin care products is natural vitamin E. It is a component of grape seed oil, but additional quantities should be included. Vitamin E is one of the most powerful antioxidants. Stay away from products that have 'paraben' as an ingredient.

Antioxidants inhibit the oxidative process that causes signs of aging. It’s really the same process that causes metal to rust when left outdoors. But, instead of rusting, your epidermis, the outermost of the skin’s layers, becomes wrinkled, dried and cracked. If male skin care products contain adequate amounts of antioxidants and moisturizers, you can stop the rust and even reverse the signs of age.

You can’t turn back the clock, but if you choose the right man skin care products, you can almost look like you did.
