After high school what drgrees do you go to collge for and once obtain what do you do then? What are the overall years of becoming a demertologist? How do you start off in skin care?

What do you think of all the comercials of skin care products?

When you see the before and after pictures, they always make them look a lot nicer by having them smiling and their hair done, stuff like that. And the celebrities' acne never even looks that bad. What do you think? What do you think of all the comercials of skin care products?
its called advertising and it a billion dollar buisness. What do you think of all the comercials of skin care products?
i have had bad acne for my whole adolecent years, and i never tried the products advertised i always went to the doctor and now i'm better than ever proactiv is meant for people who only break out in certain areas or aren't very oily, honestly it's not the best, the only way to truly rid the acne is seeing a doctor and getting a prescribed product, it is worth it and works no matter what else is advertised
One word: Fake.

They don't do the make-up and stuff on the before picture for a purpose - so that when people look at the after picture, the people in the after pictures look like models and make people want to buy the product .. so it would be like '; oh my god, this girl used this product and now she looks like a model! I want to look like that '; then when they buy the product, it does hardly anything.
THAT WHY THEY CHOSE CELEBRITIES TO ADVERTISE THEIR PRODUCT IT IS HUMAN NATURE THEY NEVER SATISFIED WITH THEIR OWN SKIN THINGS OR WIFE OR CHILDREN THEY WANT TO CHANGE OR BECOME LIKE OTHER MODEL WHICH THEY NEVER BECOME OR CHANGE INTO THE PERSONALITIES BUT THEY WILL SUCCEED IN SELLING THEIR ODD PRODUCTS AND SMILES OF YOUR FOOLISHNESS
It's all smoke and mirrors and photoshop. That's what advertising is. I am not willing to spend the money on it but I have met people who have used these products and said they don't work at all.
I think skincare adverts are absolutely ridiculous, a load of old tosh. And I'm embarassed for any silly sod who undermines their film careers by being in them! I think pizza-faced acne-ridden teens should do these adverts, it would be a lot more fun!
Theyre dramatized.

Most of the acne washes arent as good as they look in the commercials.

And shampoo commercials are the worst!
I find it funny they use people who probably never had acne in their life as the people who say ';Oh my god it totally worked on me!';

They will try anything to get your money, even if it means selling something that doesn't work at all.
techno and makeup wizards fo-sho
they are totally UNBELIEVABLE!
yup, technology is really useful nowadays.
They are lies and it's annoying because their are just two different people!
I think they are better than commercials for pills and drugs.
I don't really pay much mind to them. Airbrushing and photoshop can work wonders for anyone.
Proactive doesn't work! dammit...I still got a$s acne
French leave. Desertion of senses.
I think wow they can do so much with airbrush!
It's another way to get you to spend your money.
lies.
They have photoshop. I look like that too after a few clicks of the mouse!

CLICK CLICK CLICK
they lie and try to get us to buy their product through half=truths and omiisions

What are the best skin care and hair care regimines when preparing for wedding?

I am not getting married until next year so I have a while but I would like to start now and keep it up.What are the best skin care and hair care regimines when preparing for wedding?
Try to do mircoderm abrasion once or twice a week.... you can get a set at a drug store for around $40-55 . I sell mary kay and they have a set thats about $55. I love it and works wonders! What are the best skin care and hair care regimines when preparing for wedding?
a healthy glow begins from within! drink lots of water, get plenty of sleep, keep your eating habits reasonably healthy, physical activity is key.

i really do prefer oil of olay products, reasonably priced and they do well for me. even though i am in my late 50's i often have people stop me and ask me what i use for my skin. all i use is the oil of olay soap and every second night or so i use their moisturizer on my face.

one thing i am religious about is my feet - because we go barefoot most of the time our heels get quite rough so i use a pumice stone and every night i put lanolin on my feet at bedtime, and an old pair of cotton sox. as for my hands, lanolin every night.

my hair - i use a good quality shampoo and conditioner and whenever i think it feels dry i do a really disgusting thing - i put mayonaise in my hair, cover it with a plastic shower cap and leave it for ten-fifteen minutes, then into the shower for a good hairwash! it works! i rarely use a hair dryer, or any hair products other than shampoo, conditioner, and mayonaise. simple, inexpensive, and i look pretty friggin' healthy for an old girl! lol

try it for a bit and if it doesn't work, try something else - but the most important things are the first paragraph!

have a great day kiddo!
what I have been doing...I started seeing a dermatologist (I don't have bad acne- just some break outs I'd like to control better) and I started to see my stylist every 2 weeks for a deep conditioning treatment for my hair (it is most comfortable when a frizzy mess!)

my skin and hair are definitely more healthy- one less thing to worry about!
i have been told just drink alot of water for your complexion. and try not to ware liquid cover up foundations if at all possible then clog up pours.

do a hot oil treatment on hair about ever 3 mths to keep it mosturized and soft,

  • What are some good Skin Care Products that will surley make your skin clear?

I can have bad breaks outs. I have tryed clearisal but that didnt work. I have clean and clear and under control but that isnt the bestt.!!!

I NEED HELPPP PLEASEE HELp!What are some good Skin Care Products that will surley make your skin clear?
Most Neutrogena products work really well. And there's always Proactiv, which works pretty well too. And if you use those and your breakouts go away, get the wave. :] I have it and it helps prevent my breakouts. What are some good Skin Care Products that will surley make your skin clear?
I bought my daughter proactive and it works fairly well but it pulls all of the poison out first so you have to deal with the bad before the good. I have always had not-so-great skin so it has always been a battle for me.
Try any of St.Ives scrubs %26amp; facewashes, trust me i've been using them for over a year, i used to have real bad spotty skin, but after using it for about 2 weeks my skin was VERY noticably clearer. :)
OK, if your break outs are bad and nothing is working then definitely ask your health care professional or dermatologist about retin-a, doxycycline (a form of tetracycline; a pill you take that STOPS break outs.), and Differin. They are all prescription and they all work great.

As for washing your face, use Cetaphil! It's a soft bar soap that cleans your skin without drying it out. You can get it anywhere and it's recommended by my dermatologist!

    Good luck!
well i had some skin problems

and those drug store products do not work very well

if you have pretty bad skin

i recommend trying proactive (it works for some)

but if you have the money

theres this stuff called MD forte

which works well but it is a bit more than proactive
The best line for skin care is Peter Thomas Roth.I promise you there is nothing better. You can buy it online or at Ulta.

Is natural skin care such as H20 better to use than say Neutrogena facial products?

I am 27 and my skin is going through some major changes. It seems to becoming more sensitve and I constantly break out around my cheek sand mouth. Proactive worked for me, but it lightned my skin too much. So now I want to find an ACNE product line that will also lightned dark acne SCARS. Please Help. Thanks...Is natural skin care such as H20 better to use than say Neutrogena facial products?
for scars...it would probably be helpful to go see the dermatologist and get some prescription medication, you could also get other treatments for acne there

otherwise, I've heard that your skin can get addicted to Pro-activ, but some things that I've tried and that have worked are:

    clean and clear

    biore

    avon

    proactive

you can also get a benzoyl peroxide bar, which is supposed to help pimples, and i think salcylic acid (not sure of spelling) helps with some other things

but for acne in general, i don't think that water works that well, but drinking lots of water, eating healthy, and exercise could certainly help

but really, asking a dermatologist could help a lot

What organic skin care products should a 25 year old girl be using?

I went to the drugstore and felt so confused! Avalon, Burt's Bees, Juicy-something ....

I want natural facial products (particularly a cleanser and moisturizer) that will invigorate my skin, and not make me break out.

Any suggestions? What organic skin care products should a 25 year old girl be using?
I'm a busy person, constantly moving from place to place as i travel my skin is exposed, so i decided to use Devita Natural Skin Care - Daily Solar Protective Moisturiser SPF it gives my skin protection throughout the day. I'm happy with its effect and not only that its made from natural components which is very safe to use. What organic skin care products should a 25 year old girl be using?
You may want to try Nu Skin Nutricentials. They are probably the most nutural and best skincare products on the market today. Go to http://www.co2intl.nsedreams.com and check out the products.
I recommend to use dermaE because is the best organic skin care I ever tried and is not expensive, like other brands. I don麓t recommend Burt's bee because lives my skin dry and I break out every time I use there products. dermaE.com

Does the skin care product contain camphor and menthol safe for pregnancy woman?

I am currently 28 weeks of my pregnancy. I used the lip savers from origin about couple times because of dry lip. However, I found out that this lip savers contains camphor and menthol. It seems like these products are poison but according to the instruction, there is nothing shows pregnancy woman should avoid to use. May anyone told me whether that is a problem? Does the skin care product contain camphor and menthol safe for pregnancy woman?
It causes seizures (camphor) in children so it can't be good.

What is the perfect skin care system for a 19 year-old with combination skin?

I break out often and have combination skin, and I have a lot of acne scars. I have used clinique, which made my skin worse and cannot go to the dermatologist because it has been said that their prescriptions often fail once you stop the regimen. What kind of skin care would you recommend? (Professionals preferred) ...i'm tired of trial and error! Running out of options! What is the perfect skin care system for a 19 year-old with combination skin?
I've dealt with bad acne for years, my skin was either dry or oily with whatever skin care I used. But at the beginning of the year I started using Aveeno Clear Complexion Foaming Cleanser. Aveeno is a great line of product, and a normal woman can afford it! And I use the Cleansing Pads around the middle of my day if I've been sweating.

    Stuff not to use:

Mary Kay - the worst stuff for your skin, very expensive, low quality, and ruins your skin.

Proactive - it may work, but you can't be out in the sunWhat is the perfect skin care system for a 19 year-old with combination skin?
Mary Kay - they make products specifically for combination skin.

I need an easy to follow skin-care regime and advice on which skin-care products I need to buy?

I am a 19 year old male with tired, pale, sensitive, oily, blemished acne prone skin, also I have dark red marks under my eyes that are wrinkled, and large open pores at the sides of face.

I have no idea how to improve my skin and it's depressing, I don't know which products to buy and in what order to use them, please if you can guide me in some easy to follow steps let me know what I need to do for healthier looking skin.I need an easy to follow skin-care regime and advice on which skin-care products I need to buy?
aww, don't be depressed. you're making me sad.

I would suggest something gentle for a cleanser, like cetaphil facial cleanser. (don't worry, it comes in a very unisexual bottle (= )

    use that morning and night.

(most acne cleansers actually tend to aggravate the skin. and, if you do choose to use a medicated cleanser, choose one with salicylic acid, and let it sit on your face for a minute before washing it off; it wont work otherwise)

for a moisturiser, I would suggest cetaphil lotion, but if you're really having problems even after trying that, get EMU OIL. there is nothing so close to a miracle product, in my opinion. emu oil mixed with a bit of water works wonders, even on oily skin.

use a toner after cleansing, something like Nivea Alcohol-free toner will work fine. it will help clean and refresh your face, not to mention help tighten your pores.

For some natural ways, try using honey once or twice a week as a moisturiser. How: after cleansing, apply about 1 tsp of honey all over your face, and let it sit for about 5 minutes. wash it off gently, and pat your skin dry. honey works as a very good moisturizer, and it also helps with acne.

an egg white beaten and applied over your face for 5, 10 minutes will work as a temporary skin tightener, making your pores smaller.

in the end, a trip to the dermatologist may help as well. please consider it!

edit: I saw the post under mine, and i just want to clarify: Getting sun or tanning will NOT help your skin. The UV rays may just irritate it more and damage it, not to mention you would be ushering in potential skin cancer. The tan may conceal the blemishes, but the long term cons will be far worse.

please don't hesitate to ask for more help, my email is esther1993@yahoo.com. just put ';skincare help'; in the subject line and i will be happy to help!

hope this helped at least a bit! =)I need an easy to follow skin-care regime and advice on which skin-care products I need to buy?
dermatologist i have one and she is amazing. a peel will cost you about 250.00 but it will reset your skin.. having skin problems suck.. you'll look like you have a sunburn for a couple of days but afterwards your skin will be baby soft.. as for the redness it may be Rosacia the dermatologist has tea-tree products that help with that.. tanning isn't great for the skin.. but if you have bacteria in your pores which may be causing the acne, getting some sun or going to the salon will help dry that up.. and it's also good for depression..believe it or not. it isn't expensive to go to the derm and see what they say.. it may cost you much less than continuing to buy products that aren't going to work.

  • What are some good beauty/skin care items for snowboarders?

I have a friend who's really into snowboarding, and I thought it'd be nice to make her a gift basket of various beauty and skin care items that a snowboarder could use. Any suggestions? I'm on a budget, so I'd prefer inexpensive items; that way I can buy a few things and make a nice basket. What are some good beauty/skin care items for snowboarders?
I think you should definitely put some chapstick in the basket its a girls best friend on the slopes, sunscreen, moisturizer, waterproof mascara. Some mini handwarmers %26amp; a cute bandanna %26amp; maybe even a mini handheld massager. You could also put some warm socks %26amp; sunglasses/goggles.

鈥?Mix one tablespoon of lime juice with one tablespoon of groundnut oil. This mixture is effective in preventing blackheads.Has anyone got any overnight skin care treatment ready for my prom tomorrow?
If you can find a spa that sells it, I would get the Dermalogica product Clearing Skin Gel. It gets rid of blemishes very quicky, and always leaves my skin feeling soft and smooth.

What are your best homemade skin care treatments?

I like using natural products for my skin and want to learn what women all over the world use. What are your best homemade skin care treatments?
Self massage with natural oils like coconut, almond, olive, jojoba, cypress works wonders. They nourish and feed skin many beneficial and health promoting nutrients. It's best to massage on a daily basis quite thoroughly for best and quickest results. I found a forward and back motion using finger tips and front and sides of fingers, depending where on face you massage, is best (a circular one will be less effective).

Quickly gets rid of blemishes in a matter of days, conditions and tones face skin and face muscles as well as firming, and tightening and making skin smooth and greatly inhibits face aging and wrinkles . Will also give skin a healthy natural glow. Oils are perfect, safe, natural moisturizers. As you probably are aware many skin products and moisturizers have been pulled from market because of skin harming , skin aging and, in some cases, cancer causing concerns. Like any moisturizer you do not remove (most quickly absorbs into skin). Simply splash face with water and dab dry with tissues. You will be amazed at it麓s effectiveness.

To avoid harm from toxic sunscreens apply on top of the oil. Surprisingly it is equally effective. I know because I spend hours in the sun and I never burn. Many have benefited from treatment and I have glowing testimonials from happy users. See my many Best Answers

Well I know this will sound gross, but you can try a blend of oatmeal or granola, eggs, lemon and honey. The oatmeal acts as an exfoliator, it scrubs dead skin off your face and gives it a very soft, smooth feeling. The yolk of the eggs and lemon can actually help with acne believe it or not, and the honey is also a great moisturizer. Try it!

I have combination skin, and the top of my nose has blackheads.

I was wondering if there was any way to minimize the appearance?

I mean, I'd rather invest in a good skin care product than a foundation that makes the problem worse.

I hear you. Foundation only makes my skin worse.

I use Olay Acne Wash. At one time I had a blackhead scrub that also exfoliated the skin. Just look in your local drugstore for something.

If your skin is a combination then you might try skin ID by neutragena.

I know this may sound stupid or too commonly used, but seriously drink water. Drink as much as five to seven glasses of water each day. I didn't believe it until I gave it a chance and know my skin has gotten smoother and cleaner.

Remember to wash your face in the morning and night too! I usually do this thing with my face I call frostbite. I use a clean cloth and rinse it with cold water and wash my face with it. When your face dries, it will become kind of cold and kind of stiff.

After use a clean and clear sensitive skin deep cleaning formula (it's blue) and it helped me a lot. Just remember to use a clean cotton ball or a cotton swab and put some of the formula on it and scrub gently on places you would like to clean. After, wait about a minute and rinse with mild water. When you wake up, wash your face and use the clean and clear wash if needed.

Oh ya, remember not to drink water before you sleep because it can cause panda eyes (dark circles).

i really like proactive. But i also like any sort of apricot scrub. As far as foundation goes its true it always makes the problem worse. However, i use Dinair Airbrush Makeup and its all water based so its not bad for your skin. its the only foundation that i found that has not made my skin worse off.
i have tryed pretty much all the acne skincare items everything from proactive and skinID to what you can buy in the drug stores nothing worked

untill I tryed the avenno products that say helps prevent breakouts not my skin is soft and clear and a more even skin tone
I agree with rstanley, Queen Helene mint julep, this is what I been using for the past couple of month's and it is incredible how great it works. My skin looks 1000 times better.. Try it, you want be disappointed at all.. Good Luck to you!!!
I use AcneFree it's amazing it works just like Proactiv..But Cheaper for like $20.00. My skin is free of acne and the toner is clearing my acne scars, And as far as the blackheads Queen Helene Mint Julep face mask works very well for those.
If you're young, look into Clean Start. If you're older, look into some of Dermalogica's mediBac products and/or their Age Smart line. It's pricier than what you'd find at the store, but it's 1000x better.

Are there any all natural skin care products that work similarly to Differin?

I'm looking for an all natural (no chemicals, parabens, preservatives) acne product that works the same /similarly to Differn. I'm ont Differin right now and it works okay but I'm looking to switch to all natural products. Are there any all natural skin care products that work similarly to Differin?
**I researched/experimented for a long time and found this safe, natural cure was a truly effective way to quickly and permanently rid face of pimples, black and white heads, etc. It also reduces large pores and and completely gets rid of scars. See the happy answer from ';Jasmin'; below ##

Vigorous massage using essential oils works wonders - sweet almond, grape seed and, particularly rosewood, have been used by skin specialists to treat and cure acne. They do not clog, and they actually diminish skin's over production of oil. Rosewood should be diluted with grapeseed

    .

So as not to pull/stretch skin, first tighten by opening mouth 3/4'; and pull lips firrmly back against teeth. Do a forward and back massage - not circular - using tips and front of fingers and sometimes palms - depending where on face you apply. For quickest results do for 15 to 20 min daily (Doesn't have to be all in one session). Skin will start to clear and pores will reduce in as little as 2 to 3 days and see better results day by day. Scars take longer but can also be completely got rid of overtime.

My severe skin conditions started healing simply by stopping using skin harming products. I now only use a pure natural bar(tablet) soap with no coloring, no perfumes, no additives of any kind. Many moisturizers are harmful. Oils are perfect and safe, natural moisturizers. They do not leave face oily. Do not remove - splash with water and dab dry with tissues.

Differin is going to be stronger than any natural product you try so I advise you not to switch. Prescription products tend to be the best treatment for acne. You will get better results with prescription strength products. if its not working well..tell yiour dermatologist and he/she will put you ona different prescription product. and teh only natural product taht i heard of for acne is Boscia.

  • What skin care products do you use on your baby?

Just curious what kind of lotions and creams and cleansers everyone else useson their babies/toddlers. I am also interested if anyone makes their own. I hear olive oil is good but I have not tried it. Also, my baby has eczema so if anyone can recommend any good products for it, that would be great! What skin care products do you use on your baby?
We use Johnson's Shea and Cocoa Butter Baby Wash and Lotion. It smells sooo good and moisturizers for 24 hours. Just a note: we had been using the lavender and chamomile when our youngest was small, but hadn't never read the back of it. It says that if the child has allergies it could make them worse. If we would have read the label, it would have saved some allergy trouble with him, considering he has really bad ones. What skin care products do you use on your baby?
I use Johnson's baby lotion on my baby, I use Gentle Naturals body wash for my toddler she has bad ezcema.
I love the Avene line with cold cream especially for sensitive babies http://www.aveneusa.com/consumers/soothe鈥?/a> It is paraben free. Check out the health food store too for lines like California Baby, Weleda (great oil) and of course Burts Bees. Plain olive oil would work well too, but just use a tiny bit as it tends to stain things.
I'm a mother of two with one on the way. I use and love Arbonne's Baby Care (ABC) for all of my children. I also give out gift sets to my friends and families that have small children or are expecting because I know that it's the very best for young and sensitive skin. Babies鈥?skin is prone to dryness and is easily irritated by ingredients such as fragrance and mineral oil that are found in many baby care products on the market. The ABC products provide intense moisture and assist the skin鈥檚 ability to retain moisture. Arbonne鈥檚 ABC line of products are:

    鈥? Botanically-based and pH correct

    鈥? Pediatrician and dermatologist tested

    鈥? Non-sensitizing, non-irritating

鈥? Formulated without nut oils, mineral oil, or fragrance

鈥? Tear-free hair and body wash

    鈥? Not tested on animals

    鈥? Sunscreen provides broad-spectrum protection

    Johnson and Johnson is great

For dry skin I would use shea butter
I love Aveeno, skin relief body wash. It has natural colloidal oatmeal in it, Very Nice, works great. Me and my son use it for lots of little irritations. Hope that helps.
    Johnsons
I use Aveeno for my oldest who has eczema and very sensitive skin, and Johnson's bedtime bath for my youngest.
Both our kids have very sensitive skin. We stear clear of any thing with soap in it. As for eczema cream i would recomend a product available over the internet. It is called David Hosking's hypoallergenic face and body balm. It has worked wonders on both of my childrens eczema which doctor creams couldn't clear up.

For my youngest, baby oil when skin is still wet after bath, then lather on johnsons bedtime lotion.

For my 9 year old, baby oil while skin is still wet and vaseline or dove lotion.

For 12 year old, baby oil while skin is still wet, vaseline or dove lotion.

    Hope that helps. xoxo
I have also heard of warm olive oil too. For my baby I use johnson's bed time bath and lotion. I use a smidge of baby oil in the hair. For shampoo I use the johnson's lavender stuff. Then for diaper rash prevention I use palmers bottom butter. Not sure what to use on eczema. See if you can find something w/o a scent/dye. Look for something natural maybe bath and body works.
California Baby shampoo and body wash.

Weleda baby oil, after her bath, before drying her off.

I still use these on my 5 year old.

Is it possible to make and sell homemade skin care products?

Is it possible to sell homemade skin care and beauty products (for example, face wash) on eBay or a similar website as long as I list the ingredients? Can this be done some how? Any first hand advice? Thanks! Is it possible to make and sell homemade skin care products?
    Yes. http://www.sunflowernaturals.com/

I do it all the time.

    ADDED:

I haven't had even one complaint, let alone a lawsuit, in over 15 years of selling products. Just make sure you know what you're doing. Natural is easy - most of the ingredients are edible. And there is plenty of scientific evidence to back up the fact that natural works - and works better - than conventional! Once people try my products they never go back to the comparable conventional products. Is it possible to make and sell homemade skin care products?
Yes I believe you can as long as the ingredients are listed on it. Good luck!
The liability is huge! Mary Kay did start out that way but it was a different time with much less cost to start up. You need to do a lot of research because in some states like CA you can't sell products that contain certain natural components without FDA approval.

Just be careful because all it takes to lose everything is one lawsuit happy person.
Yes. I have a friend who makes her own chapstick and sells it!
yes but be aware of potential law suit
Many beauty products on the market have harmful chemicals in them; do your favorite beauty products contain any of these things?:

    * Mineral Oil, Paraffin, and Petrolatum – Petroleum products that coat the skin like plastic, clogging pores and creating a build-up of toxins, which in turn accumulate and can lead to dermatologic issues. Slows cellular development, which can cause you to show earlier signs of aging. Suspected cause of cancer. Disruptive of hormonal activity. By the way, when there’s an oil spill in the ocean, don’t they rush to clean it up – fast? Why put that stuff on your skin?

    * Parabens – Widely used as preservatives in the cosmetic industry (including moisturizers). An estimated 13,200 cosmetic and skin care products contain parabens. Studies implicate their connection with cancer. They have hormone-disrupting qualities – mimicking estrogen – and interfere with the body’s endocrine system.

    * Phenol carbolic acid– Found in many lotions and skin creams. Can cause circulatory collapse, paralysis, convulsions, coma and even death from respiratory failure.

    * Propylene glycol – Used as a moisturizer in cosmetics and as a carrier in fragrance oils. Shown to cause dermatitis, kidney or liver abnormalities, and may inhibit skin cell growth or cause skin irritation.

    * Acrylamide– Found in many hand and face creams. Linked to mammary tumors in lab research.

    * Sodium laurel or lauryl sulfate (SLS), also known as sodium laureth sulfate (SLES)– Found in car washes, engine degreasers, garage floor cleaners… and in over 90% of personal care products! SLS breaks down the skin’s moisture barrier, easily penetrates the skin, and allows other chemicals to easily penetrate. Combined with other chemicals, SLS becomes a “nitrosamine”, a potent class of carcinogen. It can also cause hair loss. SLES is sometimes disguised with the labeling “comes from coconut” or “coconut-derived

    * Toluene – Poison! Danger! Harmful or fatal if swallowed! Harmful if inhaled or absorbed through the skin. Made from petroleum or coal tar, and found in most synthetic fragrances. Chronic exposure linked to anemia, lowered blood cell count, liver or kidney damage, and may affect a developing fetus. Butylated hydroxytoluene (BHT) contains toluene. Other names may include benzoic and benzyl.

    * Dioxane– Found in compounds known as PEG, Polysorbates, Laureth, ethoxylated alcohols. Common in a wide range of personal care products. The compounds are usually contaminated with high concentrations of highly volatile 1,4-dioxane, easily absorbed through the skin.

Dioxane’s carcinogenicity was first reported in 1965 and later confirmed in studies including one from the National Cancer Institute in 1978. Nasal passages and liver are the most vulnerable. Dioxane is easily removed during the manufacturing process by “vacuum stripping”.

Warning: It is a synthetic derivative of coconut. Watch for hidden language on labels, such as “comes from coconut”.

IF SO, you should throw them away IMMEDIATELY and substitute virgin/extra virgin olive oil or a natural coconut oil to moisturize in the meantime until you find a better alternative!!! Tell ALL your friends and family!!!
Yes, and I'm working on possible doing that in the near future.

What's the difference between vegan and organic skin care and which is healthier?

Both are commercial products whose effects vary from person to person. Of course some products are better than others and even some vegan or organic products will be better than other vegan or organic products.

As the above poster mentioned, organic means no artificial additives or ingredients while vegan means no animal sourced ingredients.

I seriously doubt that a vegan (or non vegan for that matter) skin care product will contain fertilizers or pesticides. What's the difference between vegan and organic skin care and which is healthier?
The words vegan and organic have nothing to do with each other.

Vegan means no animal testing, or animal byproducts were used. A product doesn't have to be organic to be vegan.

Organic means no pesticides, or cemical fertilizers were used. A product labeled organic could still be tested on animals and could contain animal byproducts.

BTW: in organic chemistry water is a non-organic ingredient, since the water molecule contains no carbon atom. This was the origional meaning of organic. What's the difference between vegan and organic skin care and which is healthier?
Vegan products are free of animal ingredients.

Organic products are free of non-organic ingredients.

Whichever is ';better'; depends entirely on your needs.

Hey! We've tried so many things and a lot of it hasn't worked, but then we came across this for acne:

    ';Egg';celent Beauty

    1. 1 egg yolk separated from egg whites. (your going to use both)

    2. Beat whites until frothy

    3. Add water to beated yolk until slightly transparent

    4. Add milk to yolk mixture. (until seen through yolk)

    5. Spread egg whites over face in 2 or more coats. (more is best)

    6. Wait 10 minutes for hardening on face.

    7. Wash it off with moderalty warm water

    8. Dab face dry with dry, soft, smooth washcloth.

    9. Repeat steps 6 through 8 with yolk mixture using 3 or more coats.

*Tips:Listening to music helps time pass faster. This can also be used as a face wash to make your face very smooth.

**Tips: Putting face in cold air helps harden faster, but still keep on as long

    Hope this helps,

What skin care and make up products do you use and why?

Please tell me your skin type and coloring. I have recently started selling these products, but I am not a big user so I wanted to get some feedback on why people use certain sorts of skincare and make up.What skin care and make up products do you use and why?
i have Normal type skin. or Combination type.

i am somewhat pale. my skin is usually clear. i'm not prone to acne.

i use Clean %26amp; Clear products because they seem to advertise toward teenage girls, which is what i am. the products are not very expensive and they have many different products. it keeps my skin clear and refreshed.

as for makeup, i use mostly Clinique and Covergirl.

i like Clinique because it's very high-quality and smooth. it is not very irritating on my skin and the colors are good for young people.

i use Covergirl because it is for younger people. the colors are young and bright. it's well-known, so it's pretty reliable. also, it's pretty inexpensive. What skin care and make up products do you use and why?
I have pale white skin with mild freckles and dark brown hair and hazel eyes. I use brands such as napoleon perdis, maybeline, potch, estee launder and brands which i can trust with a wide variety of products. I think people buy these brands rather than others due to the fact that these brands are main stream therefore people have heard of them and want to buy them. I wouldn't buy any random makeup i find where ever i go. when i buy these products i know that they are good quality which makes me feel confident.
sensitive very fair skin. for make up i never use anything but rimmel, and cleaning its neutrogena.

these seem to suit my sensitivity just fine as well as my complexion
I use Harnn and Thann because it is Paraben free and all natural and not tested on animals!

Skin Care - what is the best moisturiser for my skin type?

I have dry dull skin, My skin needs a lot of moisture, but then it breaks out if it gets too much - or if the moisturiser is too oily.

Does anyone have advice on what I should be using for my skin type?Skin Care - what is the best moisturiser for my skin type?
    1.GARNIER body cocoon

    2.Nivea

http://skinnaturals.garnier.ca/en/index.鈥?/a>Skin Care - what is the best moisturiser for my skin type?
Try Nivea Sensitive Balance Day Cream. I actually like to use this at night because it doesn't have an SPF...... My skin is combination - oily t-zone but can get really dehydrated and flaky as well. I'm also prone to break outs. I like this cream a lot! Not too greasy but it is really nourishing.

You might also want to think about switching your cleanser too. Does it leave your face feeling dry? Maybe look into oil cleansing. Hope that helps.
Ask the professionals I use - go to a department store and find the Clinique counter!
you need an oil free moisturiser, you could try clean and clears skin cleansing range, very good for problem skin.

sounds similar to my skin, i suggest -

1.clean and clear exfoliating daily wash with microbeads or similar.

2.deep cleansing pore wipes/wash 2 times a day. (i find wipes more conveinient).

    3.oil free moisturiser.
there are lots of cool and soft lotions. the one that i use, is called Vaseline intensive care. its pink but it comes with lots of other lotions too. i buy it from Costco, sorry for spelling it wrong.i use it everyday. its not too oily, but it does not have any smells to choose from. it softens hands and leaves nails 10 times stronger. i think you should try it.
I think I have tried every skincare line in the book and here is my advice:

Since yor skin is flaky you are probably using a cleanser that is too harsh, and you will need to exfoliate as well.

You don't need a heavy moisturizer to get good results. There are plenty of good product lines out there but here are some things to look for: Moisture holding ingedients (like hyaluronic acid and copper), be mindful of ingredients that MAY clog pores (mineral oil, peanut oil and lot of waxes) . The fewer the ingredients the less things there are to potentially make your skin break out.

Paula Dorf has a lot of good skincare articles on her website (www.cosmeticscop.com) but keep in mind that she is out to market her own skincare line (which i have tried and it did not amaze me) and her product reviews pretty much bash every product on the market.

That said...The only product line that i have been a repeat buyer of is Mario Badescu (you can buy online at www.mariobadescu.com). The products use very few and mostly botanical ingredients and you can get a free skin care consultaion /product recommendations on the website from someone at the spa. They are also reasonably priced! I love their buttermilk moisturizer (it has carnation oil, which will not clog pores and it has absolutely no greasy after feel and leaves my skin like silk). You might like their seaweed cleansing soap as well. It exfoliates and unclogs pores without drying your skin or making it red. Or try to enzyme cleanising gel to brighten up your complextion. Vitamin C serums are also great at night for making your complextion more glowy (vitamin c helps repair sun and cell damage). I like Avon's clearly C serum.

Hope this helps and good luck!
i think u have combination type of skin. some areas r dry others r oily and breakout.

try clean and clear or neutrogena, they have nice ones to suit u.
Try Philosophy's Hope in A jar. The motto of the mousturizer is ';your skin need a cup of water not oil. I use it and its great and it exfoliates the skin also and prevents free radical damage. You can get it a Sephora or go to there website Philosophy.com or Sephora.com
You do seem to have combination skin.

It is totally untrue that moisturizers only make you break out if they are bad or if you use too much! Even great moisturizers can clog your pores if that's what your skin is prone to. According to skin care expert Paula Begoun, you only need to put moisturizer on the dry areas of your face. She recommends the following products for combination skin (and she NEVER recommends moisturizers with oils):

    - St. Ives Cucumber %26amp; Elastin Eye %26amp; Face Stress Gel

    - DHC Water Base Moisture

    - Beauty Without Cruelty Green Tea Nourishing Eye Gel

    - Clinique Moisture Surge Extra Thirsty Skin Relief OR Moisture in Control

You're even better off with something that has sunscreen, like:

    - Olay ProVital Protective Moisture Lotion (SPF 15)

    - Lancome Face and Body Lotion with Pure Vitamin E (SPF 15)

And, by the way, Dermalogica has badly formulated and ineffective sunscreens, plus there are many plant extracts in the products that are potentially serious irritants and problems for skin.

Philosophy's Hope in a Jar is fine, but SERIOUSLY overpriced for what it is! And do not ';ask the professionals,'; if by ';professionals'; you mean ';cosmetics salespeople.'; They aren't bad people, it's just that they only know what their company tells them -- that every product they sell is great. Obviously not true!
perfect for your skin is one of Dermalogica's brand and for dry, dull skin its the 'intensive moisture balance' one. its for your type of skin and concentrates on hydrating your facial skin.

people only ever break out in spots if the moisturisers is really bad or you are applying too much. as i learnt at beauty skewl u only ever need a pea size blob for your WHOLE face!!

by theway, you cannot buy dermalogica over the counter you will have to go into yourl ocal salon to buy it...........

Dermalogica - Intensive mositure balance happy days :)

  • What is the best skin-care advice for an 18 year old girl?

I mostly get blackheads and the odd pimple or two every once in a while. My skin gets both dry and oily, and I just want to know what I can do to take care of it.What is the best skin-care advice for an 18 year old girl?
Too much washing or scrubbing the skin harshly can make acne worse. And washing away surface oils doesn鈥檛 do much to prevent or cure acne, because it forms under the skin. The best way to clean the face is to gently wash it twice a day with a mild soap or cleanser. Be careful to remove make-up without harsh scrubbing. What is the best skin-care advice for an 18 year old girl?
moisturise, use make up sparingly (if at all), try and stay away form the majority of spot treatment as they can exacerbate the problem.

A gentle wash with antibacterial soap, use 100% aloe vera gel to apply on the face afterwards, as the natural healing elements within the aloe vera will help your skin stay fresh and vitalized. Fresh salads, nuts, grains and fresh fruit should be included in your diet. Report Abuse

cetaphil products are good and safe for all skin types, both there skin creams and face wash is highly recommended, also st.ives apricot skin scrub is really very good for exfoliating your skin. and don't forget to drink water to stay hydrated.
Pretty much anything Neutrogena, and get something that says for normal/oily skin or blackheads.

For an exfoliater, you could get a St. Ives one, but don't use that more than once a day if your skin is very sensitive or dries out quickly.

These things aren't to expensive either...
I have an awesome product that has worked for me! It's Microdermabrasion from Mary Kay! Email me at ilike2shop@marykay.com and we can set you up with a Mary Kay facial. The best thing in Mary Kay is you can try it before you buy it! Please let me know where you are and I will set up an appointment with someone in your area if you are not in my area. :)
I swear by Philosophy's Microdelivery peel system. They're soooo effective at exfoliation... my skin improved instantly.
Dermalogica....kinda expensive but it works wonders :) for exfoliatin use skin prep scrub from dermalogica mix it with a little bit of water rub it in and wash off leaves my skin feelins lovely :)

What is the best skin care advice?

What is the BEST skin care advice that you've ever received to clear up acne? The best products, the best home remedies, the best daily activities, I want to know them all! Thanks so much to everybody in advance. What is the best skin care advice?
Besides washing your face morning and night (no sleeping in make-up!), toning, and moisturizing, the best advice I had was to see a dermatologist. I was given a prescription that cleared up my skin problems (acne during pregnancy) like a charm.

The best ';trick'; I ever heard of was for a spot treatment. Pure tea tree oil applied with a cotton swab. Hold it on the blemish until it starts to feel cold (a good 60 seconds). If you do this at night, it will dry up by morning, but the bump might still be there. Careful though, this can be very drying. Only apply it to the blemish.

What is the best skin care advice?
The best skin advice I can give is go natural. Find products without chemicals and you'll be fine.. Stay away from products with parabens added. They are chemical preservatives that don't need to be in your products. They are suspected of causing cancer. Vitamin E is a safer preservative. Report Abuse

Don't fall for those flashy, shiny products that smell good and look cool. You need something simple to get the job done.

I use a daily cleanser called Cetaphill, they make it for dry skin, oily skin and normal skin. I kid you not that it cleared up my face over night. My sister had a terrible acne problem and it was cleared in about a week with this stuff. It was recommended to me by my dermatologist, so it's legit. It's a little more expensive than some, its runs about $8-$10, but it is more than worth it. It comes in a cleanser or actually face wash form, and it works wonders!
My best skin care advice for acne would be to use all three steps of Proactiv. I've been using Proactiv for about 3 years and as long as I am consistent with it, it keeps my skin clear.

Please note: No matter what acne product you decide to use, be sure to keep your skin moisturized, otherwise it will dry out. I like to use the green tea moisturizer from Proactiv. In my opinion, it's one of the best moisturizers out there. It goes on thin and it's definitely not oily.

For home remedies, I have heard that egg whites work quite well. They do a great job at tightening up your skin. Again, be sure to keep your skin moisturized.

Finally, I have heard that it's a good idea to eliminate milk from your diet. A lot of people are claiming clear skin after only a week simply by eliminating milk.

Also, daily activities should include some from of exercise for at least a half an hour. This will keep you solid. Breathing exercises are great also.

You can check out more info here
try raw/organic honey for natural home remedy.

    or try ClearPores :)

What is the best skin care lines for someone that has acne but also wants products that help with aging?

I am 26 yrs old and have VERY oily skin but I also need somehting that prevents and treats wrinkles. I have tried alot of products only designed for acne but they still don't seem to work very well (proactiv, arbonne, clinique) as well as many drugstore brands. What is the best skin care lines for someone that has acne but also wants products that help with aging?
Not only cream can help reduce wrinkles, but more importantly is what you eat and your lifestyles. By chance I got some articles in my blog about what you should eat , what you should do, what you should prevent for wrinkles,if you are interest , you can take a look at http://antiaging-skin-care-tips.blogspot鈥?/a>What is the best skin care lines for someone that has acne but also wants products that help with aging?
If you are looking for home remedy to reduce wrinkles, try this.

Smear honey on your face and leave it for as long as possible (but 5-10mins a day will do). then rinse off with tepid water mixed with a teaspoon of cider vinegar - this has a neutral pH and will act as a toner.

And if you have some bucks, Lifecell anti wrinkle cream would be a good choice. You can have more information here.

Caudalie.. check em out! They use grape seed oil.. SO GOOD FOR AGING, but it's also gentle enough to not make your acne react. I have acne bad and I use the most rich cream that normally in other brands would cause an acne flare up, but not at Caudalie. Good luck!

stridex got rid of my acne very well. What is the best skin care routine for me?
Try Neutrogena, St. Ives, Clinique, Clean %26amp; Clear or Biore. Try this regimen:

    -Everyday:

*Wash face with an acne preventing cleanser. Do this 2-3 times per day- Day, Night and after exercise. Over washing can lead to more oil being produced. If oil forms during the day, use oil blotting sheets

*Use a toner/balancer and a light oil and alcohol free moisturizer, Morning and Night

*Apply an acne cream at night

    -1-3 times per week

*Scrub face gently with a face exfoliating cleanser or scrub

    ***ALL THE TIME:

scrub - st. ives: for oily skin as well as sensitive skin i'd do it once every other day. but if you're oily, once a day. i know they say once a week to twice a week but thats for normal skin.

acne - acne free: if the regular doesnt work, try severe. ive heard some seriously excellent things about it everywhere but ive also heard that regular sometimes doesnt work but that only means you have to step up to severe. personally, i use clean and clear products but when those are done im switching. they dont CURE my skin they just put SOME pimples at bay SOME of the time. its quite an improvent but its not the real deal.

for scars i would suggest ambi or cocoa butter. on one hand, i only use cocoa butter at night and have been for about a month or so but i havent had any noticeable difference except a slight lightning of the scars but i know for me i have to keep with it for cocoa butter to work with my skin because it takes a very long time. ambi, ive only recently started using so i cant say how good it is but it is exxxxcellent with moisturizing. its surprising. it smells really nice too. and ive only heard that it works half the time for half the people so ...

but yeah, acne free, st ives (oh dont get invigorating. it can really be too harsh combined with the medication in acne free and everything. normal is fine), and i cant suggest a moisturizer because i absolutely hate all mine, they never work, except for nivea soft but that has oil in it which is not good for my pimples, it makes them ... plumper! i swear its so gross. but clean and clear day smells nice and does pretty good with the ambi.
go to acnecomplex.com it is a product that hasnt really been put out there. it is amazing. it is called murad. you will love it.

i would go to a doctor tell them the problem ..tell them the sensative skin (maybe) and he could tell u what to use!!
I would suggest Pro-Active, but I can see how that might not work for you. Try not to touch your face alot and use acne pads in the morning and at night such as stridex or just get some skin cleansor. I'm sure you can find this at walmart.
I have super sensitive skin. I started using olay daily scrub. To get my skin in line though I used that plus there mini peel stuff that 10 day is equivalent one peel(After a while I dropped it to one day a week.). The daily scrub is $7.00. The mini peel stuff is $15.00.

I cant answer your question exactly but I have found this site that is loaded with information. Congrats on the wedding. The site is factsu.com and there is a link called beauty. Good luckWhat is the best skin care product in stores?
Have you tried benzoyl peroxide products? Usually either benzoyl peroxide or salicylic acid is effective, but if you have sensitive skin, you should probably try something more gentle with less chemicals. Luckily, you have 5 months to let your skin get accommodated to what you try, so you still have time. Sorry I dont have specific products, nothing has ever worked 100% for me, I'm still on the search too unfortunately. However, i would NOT recommend proactiv... biggest mistake ever! But everyone is different.. so they say.

A good product that I have been using for a few months and have seen results from, is Lauren Hutton's Phyto Face Firming Cream. This skin firming cream not only helps to smooth out your skin, but it also helps to prevent sagging in the future.

What is the best skin care regimine for someone entering their 30s?

I'm turning 30 soon, and have never really done the whole skin care thing other than washing my face in the shower. Now I'd like to start trying to take better care of my skin.

I have normal to combination skin that is prone to break outs on my forehead and chin. Very fine lines and dark circles under my eyes. What is the best skin care regimine for someone entering their 30s?
The best thing I could say is keep your face, neck and chest HYDRATED! and wear sunscreen on all those areas including your hands. Your hands and neck age 10 years before anything else. Try getting a facial or even a mini-facial as soon as you can and often

as you can. This will allow the products that you use to be more active because of removing the dead skin that ly in the fine lines and pores. If you are just using soap to wash your face, trade that in for some cleanser that wipes away impurities without overdrying. As for the breakouts that occur, keep an eye on what you eat. Try to cut down or stop dairy products. That should help your chin. If you are eating late at night or snacking late at night, you are not digesting like you should and that might be causing your forehead breakouts. Good luck on your venture. It is a life long committment but well worth it.What is the best skin care regimine for someone entering their 30s?

  • What acne skincare product/skin care system keeps your acne under control?

I recently got acne and I hate it. Tiny bumps all over my forehead and a few bigger ones on my cheeks. I also have tiny tiny bumps on my cheeks, will these turn into big zits? I ve been using the sea weed cleanser from the bodyshop and i think its useless. So please if you have any ideas tell me!What acne skincare product/skin care system keeps your acne under control?
I've had acne since I was about 12 (I'm 27 now) and I've found that several things work for me; it's just dependent upon how you use them. Proactiv, Murad, and Cleocin-T all worked great and from what you've described, we have the same type. Now that I'm older and my face is less oily, just some over-the-counter face wash (Clearasil, Neutrogena, Oxy 10) will keep it under control. Unfortunately there's no cure, but you can definitely keep your skin clear with certain things. I would strongly advise against ProAcne (the generic rip-off of ProActiv) and Accutane. Accutane is supposed to work for all acne, but it can damage your reproductive system if you're a woman. In fact, you have to sign a waiver stating that you will not become pregnant while using it because of the damage it will cause an unborn baby. I actually temporarily lost my sight while using it (I was 19) and I just quit using it right then and there. Some more side effects include hair loss, pinkeye, dry skin, depression, weakened immune system, etc.

Hope you find something that works for you. Good luck!! If you have any questions, shoot me an email and I'll be happy to answer. What acne skincare product/skin care system keeps your acne under control?
im now 16 and ive had acne since i was 12. ive used everything, if youve heard of it ive probably used it. my most recent experiment was with proactiv and it actually made my acne worse. so i decided to just go to the dermatologist and let me tell you its the best thing i have ever done =) its only been a week and my skin is almost perfectly clear and i am sooo happy. he gave me a prescription for monodox (doxycycline monohydrate pills) which is an antibiotic and duac gel (benzoyl peroxide and clindamycin) and i just use the mild cleanser that came with the gel . GO TO A DERMATOLOGIST and youll get results =)
Well, you could try natural remedy stuff like drinking more water, changing your diet to include leafy veggies or fruits like apples, oranges, grapes...

I had bad acne from 14 to 19. I used nuetragena acne wash twice a day. But the most important thing is KEEP YOUR HANDS OFF YOUR FACE!! My doctor kept telling me this, but I would not listen on account I could not go to school with puss coming off my face, so I would pop my zits. Well one summer I said screw it, I did not touch my face for 2 months, just washed it. It was pretty foul, I had white heads everywhere, but I DID NOT POP THEM! Since then I get one pimple a year. I think I should have listened to the doctor sooner, I got real lucky I only suffered a couple of scars.

What is the best skin care line you have tried?

Prefer department store or spa brands. I am in my late 20's with sensitive skin and blackheads so I need a good exfolient.

I have used Lancome and haven't found it that great for me and now I have been using Aloette but it just isnt' doing it for me anymore. What is the best skin care line you have tried?
What works for me is Clinique. It is more recommended by Dermatologists, and is more for sensitive skin types. They have good, but gentle exfoliators, a few to choose from. Moisturizer should have a sun screen in it.What is the best skin care line you have tried?
I only use Clinique and it has been wonderful for my skin. The three step, exfoliating scrub,15 min facial and Superdefense are what I recommend trying.
I also have sensitive skin and I have been using Mary Kay for 10 years. I like it so much two years ago I decided to start selling it. It is a quality product from a high integrity company and is back with a 100% guarantee.

What are the manufacturing costs for natural skin care?

I am working on a business plan for a line of natural skin care products and am trying to determine the contract manufacturing costs. I know that there is a 100% mark up from wholesale to retail. Can I assume a 100% mark up from manufacturing to wholesale? I am aware it depends on ingredients and number of products manufactured but I need an educated guess. What are the manufacturing costs for natural skin care?
you will be surprised if you know the manufacturing costs .Makeup industry is always a windfall profit industry ,but why the makeup is so expensive ? the answers is channel costs ,distributor make the most of profits , if the price an Eye Gel is $150 ,the manufacturing costs just is about $5

What is a good over the counter skin care system to use?

I get occasional blemishes around my mouth, usually around the jawline. I think it has to do with my dog's saliva when he kisses me. I NEVER get blemishes on the upper part of my face. I don't know what to do.What is a good over the counter skin care system to use?
Keep the dog away from your face. Its salivia tongue been on its butt and privates. Get the Tenitus shot, supposed to last like 10 years. Ask your doctor if its in your medical records.

PROACTIV! and you might want to think twice befor letting ur dog slobber on u

What products are best to use for skin care?

I get occasional spots around my mouth and my skin can be quite dry at times, and also greasy (but not majorly) at other times.

I currently use Nivea face wipes but they do not seem to work as I still get random spots. Any suggestions? What products are best to use for skin care?
I have used a lot of skin products oevr the years. Clearasil, Nuetragena, Nivea Visage, etc. Out of all these products the products that I have found to be the most effective are Lush products.

Lush is based in England but has stores in England, Ireland and America. If you are from England, the products are the cheapest and there is more selection. In Ireland there is the same selection but it's pricier (this obviously does not apply to the Belfast chain) and in America there is less of a newer selections but there are many products still sold in America which are discontinued in the UK.

I have combination skin and I get spots below my nose and on my T-Zone. For spots, I find if you use a Catastrophe Cosmetic Face Mask (costs roughly 拢5 or E6.50, not available in America) that even after the first use your spots are almost invisible as this face mask reduces redness. It contains blueberries, which have anti-oxidants which can clear up your skin. It's expensive, yes, but if you use the right amount (cover your face in a light cover of the mask, if it does not dry into a lilac purple you have used too little and if some parts are still a damp dark purple after five or ten minutes you have used too much) it can last for 2-3 months.

For dry skin I recommend Paradise Regained (拢6, E7.50 I am guessing. Not sure about availability in America). I used it on my legs and it made them very soft. It contains lavender which is very calming and can help reduce skin redness but the smell is unappealing. Still, after an hour the smell dissapates. Once again, expensive byut they last long as you don't need that much.

I reccommend you get a face scrub to use two times every week. That, in Lush, with probably cost 拢8 or E11, and maybe $14. I am not sure what particular product would suit your skin but ask one of the shop assistants and they'll be able to help you. For most scrubs, you only use a penny sized amount of scrub each time so a pot lasts about seven months, probably more. (I don't know. I got a scrub in late March and I'm onot even half way through the pot in late June)

    Good luck!

Suggest you try the cleansers/toners from Coonobabe. I use their Pepino cleanser followed by the Manzanillo toner for my oily skin. Wash with cleanser, pat dry with cealn towel, then apply toner with cotton pad, and let air dry. This process has kept the oily skin and pimples away. however, in summer I have to repeat this 2-3 times a day for obvious reasons. hope this helps

    http://www.coonobabe.com
    Hi,

I think generally speaking from what you have pointed out, your skin doesn't appear to be too worse for wear.

Therefore, the odd little friend surfacing on the horizon can be treated with either a spot gel or a spot cream. You could try either Freedom or the range from Clearasil.

When my little friends pay me a visit, they often overstay their welcome, so they require that extra bit of hospitality.

I have to say, Germolene is the ultimate bacteria/spot combator and/or tea tree oil. The only downside to this is that it's quite a strong antiseptic and if misused, it may do your skin more harm than good - redness!!

Try and avoid moisturisers that contain oil. Get into a habit of cleansing and moisturising using oil-free products. I normally use Nitrogen and king of shaves to keep a spot-free and a smooth complexion.

Once you get into a regime, you'll be keeping those little ones at bay!!

    Cheers

the thing is a product that works wonders on me could have a totally different affect on your skin.my skin is greasy and i get quite alot of blackheads and pimples on my forehead and chin.i use clean and clear quick clear advantage wipes as they contain salicylic acid which is a really good spot fighting ingrediant and also the wipes are hassle free and not time consuming.they also dont dry out your skin
I use St Ives Apricotscrubs and it really helps. I have been using them for about 3-4 years and love them. they help deal with acne and remove oil whilst making skin look and feel healthy even when ur not.

They're really good at exfoliating too, removing dirt and grime.
try the neuragena wave. it a machine with a soap pad and it massages your face while cleaning deeper pores than normal face soap.
Face wipes are rubbish - only any good for when you have no cleanser or cotton wool handy.

Get into a proper skincare routine - cleanse tone and moisturise (according to how your skin feels that day)
Proper skin routine......... exfoliate, cleanse, moisturize.
