Can you recommend a natural or organic skin care system?

I'd like to start using a natural skin care system that includes a foaming cleaser, toner and moisturizer. Can you recommend any brands? I've been looking at the ingredients in the products I have been using and it's getting harder and harder to use stuff whose names I can't pronounce! Can you recommend a natural or organic skin care system?

Hi

Many of us use more than 20 different beauty products a day, including: shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, moisturiser, toner, cleanser, talc, body lotion, deodorant, foundation, concealer, eye shadow, lipstick, nail polish, the list goes on. These products are applied directly to the skin, lips, around our eyes and hair. The problem is that our bodies do absorb chemicals through our skin.

I suggest natural organic skincare.

So what do you need to look for when shopping for natural organic skincare and what should you avoid?

Look for products that:

* are certified by The National Association for Sustainable Agriculture, Australia (NASAA) or by Australian Certified Organic (ACO).

* have natural products in their ingredients lists use natural preservatives like tea tree oil, or a combination of various essential oils that have antimicrobial activity (eg lavender, lemon, rose, rosemary, sage, sandalwood), grape seed extract or honey

* are Australian made as Australia has stringent organic standards.

Avoid products that:

* have the word “organic” or “natural” in their brand name but don’t have organic certification.

* have lots of chemical sounding names in the ingredients list

that contain petrochemicals, parabens, or sulphates

I hope this assist you

Cheers Sonya
