I'd like to start using a natural skin care system that includes a foaming cleaser, toner and moisturizer. Can you recommend any brands? I've been looking at the ingredients in the products I have been using and it's getting harder and harder to use stuff whose names I can't pronounce! Can you recommend a natural or organic skin care system?
aveda has some nice skin care lines! Can you recommend a natural or organic skin care system?
Hi
Many of us use more than 20 different beauty products a day, including: shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, moisturiser, toner, cleanser, talc, body lotion, deodorant, foundation, concealer, eye shadow, lipstick, nail polish, the list goes on. These products are applied directly to the skin, lips, around our eyes and hair. The problem is that our bodies do absorb chemicals through our skin.
I suggest natural organic skincare.
So what do you need to look for when shopping for natural organic skincare and what should you avoid?
Look for products that:
* are certified by The National Association for Sustainable Agriculture, Australia (NASAA) or by Australian Certified Organic (ACO).
* have natural products in their ingredients lists use natural preservatives like tea tree oil, or a combination of various essential oils that have antimicrobial activity (eg lavender, lemon, rose, rosemary, sage, sandalwood), grape seed extract or honey
* are Australian made as Australia has stringent organic standards.
Avoid products that:
* have the word “organic” or “natural” in their brand name but don’t have organic certification.
* have lots of chemical sounding names in the ingredients list
that contain petrochemicals, parabens, or sulphates
I hope this assist you
Cheers Sonya

What types of skin care products should I use?
I am 23 years old and I have had acne in my T zone since I was teenager. I have combination skin, mostly oily on the T zone, and I've used Spectro Gel since high school but it doesn't seem to be working very well these days. I'm looking for good skin care products to use and how often to use them. What types of skin care products should I use?
You need to take care of your skin in many ways other than just using skin products.
Limit time in the sun. Try to stay out of the sun between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.
Use sunscreen. Look for a sunscreen with an SPF (sun protection factor) number of 15 or higher.
Wear protective clothing. A hat with a wide brim can shade your neck, ears, eyes, and head.
Avoid tanning. Don鈥檛 use sunlamps or tanning beds. Tanning pills are not approved by the FDA and might not be safe.
As far as products go, there are 2 that are approved by the FDA, Renova (tretinoin emollient cream) and Carbon dioxide (CO2) and Erbium. What types of skin care products should I use?
Use cetaphil oily skin cleanser- its the best
dont neglect the moisturiser. One of the main reasons people break out is when their skin is too dry- it tells the oil glands to produce more pore-clogging oil. The trick is to buy a moisturiser that is designed for combination skin. I think nutrogena makes one.
Have a look at you diet-what are you eating? Make sure you eat plenty of fruit and veg (go for 2 and 5), wholemeal grains, proteins and dairy foods. Healthy oils such as olive oil, tuna, salmon and avocados should also be added to your diet as well. Fatty foods such as cake, biscuits, chocolate and lolleys should be occasional foods (once or twice a week, not everyday)
Make sure you get at least thirty minutes of exercise every day. Switch it around to make it interesting, but you should break out in sweat everytime. This will help to clean out you pores. Try jogging, team sports, swimming, jumping rope or even an aerobics dvd!
avoid heavy makeup, as it clogs up your poors. Replace your foundation with a tinted moisturiser, and dont cake it on!
Be patient. Follow the steps above and youll be on your way to having clear skin in no time. good luck!
Avon carries a great line of skincare products called ';Clearskin'; which was clinically proven to be just as effective as Proactiv Solution. Step 1--deep pore cleansing scrub, step two--clarifying toner pads, and step three--daily correcting lotion. The products are used both morning and night and are extremely affordable compared to other well-known brands on the market.
Also, the Clearskin System has been endorsed by Dr. Cheryl Karcher, a board-certified, nationally recognized expert in aesthetic medicine and consulting dermatologist to the titleholders of the Miss Universe, Miss USA %26amp; Miss Teen USA.
Last but not least, Avon gives you their 100 percent satisfaction guarantee--your money back if you're not satisfied, even if the container you're returning is completely empty.
Recently I had a skin problem , dark spots, the dermatologist told me it was nothing serious so I purchased a lotion at Avon and put it regularly. The skin problem is almost history.
My advice, if this is nothing serious buy products from well known companies and use them as the directions tell you, be regular .
And above all keep your skin clean and watch what you eat.
Good luck!
I suggest that you check out either Murad or Danne Montague King skin care ranges. They are expensive but really excellent. You should go to a beauty therapist so she can tell you what products you need to get. A friend of mine had acne on her face and chest and it was quite bad. She went to a DMK salon and got 6 facials and then the at home products and her acne was completely and totally gone in 4 months and now she has flawless skin.
* if you can afford it, buy some facial cream from l'occitaine. its expensive, but really good, really freshions the skin.
* eat heaps of bread. it makes you regular, thus clears your system, and the rest of your skin, of toxins.
* drink heaps and heaps of water.

What is toner? Is it an important part of a skin care regimen?
What does toner do? Should people with sensitive skin use it?
Im 14 years old so im kinda new to skin care and such.
10 points! :) Thanks so much for any answer! What is toner? Is it an important part of a skin care regimen?
Toners remove all the excess make-up that coleanser hasn't removed and makes the pores of one's skin smaller.
After wearing make-up, cleansing your face and then toning you'd be surprised how much makee-up turns up on the cotton bud you've been toning with aha. What is toner? Is it an important part of a skin care regimen?
it's a good way to cleanse your skin (get rid of dirt, grease, oil, sweat, and makeup) that's usually used before you sleep and/or when you wake up. Its a clear liquid that smells like alcohol and you typically pour some on a cotton swab for use.
it's obviously important to clean your skin daily to keep pores unclogged, but whether or not you use toner is a matter of personal preference. I simply use a facewash/scrub and it does the job!
toners or astringents are used to make pores smaller, its not necessary.
it seems to dry out my skin.
i have terrible skin, so i use a gentle cleanser (olay) with cold water, and it helps alot more than anything thats specificly meant for acne! because it doesnt dry out my skin.

Max Factor is OK.Specially the lipsticks.
MAC is the best line for color(eyeshadows, glosses, lipstick, foundation etc.) Clinique has the best skincare products.

What are good skin care products for really bad acne and pores?
It would be great if I could find these products in Wal-mart, Target... or some other store like that.
I have really bad acne and huge pores (blackheads), I think it is because of my make-up or this product I bought that is supposed to get rid of acne but just makes my skin greasy.
I tried so many things that don't work, and I'm starting to think that nothing works for me. So, it would be great if you have tried this product yourself and that it worked. What are good skin care products for really bad acne and pores?
cetaphil face wash is a good choice. well this product i used for a while and it didnt completely take all my acne away, but it definitely reduced it. however, my friend has been using it for about a year and her acne is completely gone. she still uses it just to prevent it. highly recommended. What are good skin care products for really bad acne and pores?
If you have really, really bad acne there is something called Accutane.. its really strong and u have to get it as a prescription..my bf used this and he said his face cleared up and hs was really bad. Proactive is okay I used to for a while but I had to just go to a dermatologist because after a year it stopped working for me. Just g to a dermatologist theyy will give you day cream that kills germs on you skin (and u can wear it with makeup), a night cream that will clear blemishes and pimples get smaller and smaller and will soon go away, and then an antibiotic that will kill the bacteria in your body so that you wont get any new breakouts. I use Lucidol it comes in like 1%, then %2, %3 5% then 10%. Im not sure but I think it contains benzoyl peroxide. Its going to kind of sting your face at first, jsut warning you, but it will work.
In my opinion the stuff in walmsrt and target arent strong enugh if you have REALLY bad acne.
proactive is the best.
neutrogena has a pore minimizing face wash
it really works
it makes your pores look smaller and makes acne a little less noticable
i personally LOVE proactive. its works really well and my skin is very nice now.
neutrogena is the best
The products from Zenmed are of very high quality and generally do what they claim they will. I highly recommend Zenmed products.
I am glad to receive Zenmed product as gift, it has worked great and I will order again from them. Happy to find an affordable acne treatment that really works. Acne is preventable, and Zenmed can help you stop it!
netrogena in the morning... cetaphil at night and then put a little differin gel on the bumps it works the absolute best!!! Differin gel is very strong so it works fast and you don't have to use very much at a time.
iI use Airbourn. Acne treatment it get rid of the zits but sometime my face get oily. But i think you should try it
I use a drug store brand called AcneFree, and feel it's comparable to proactive with a much cheaper price.
Look for ingredients with Benzoyl peroxide( bacteria killing) and salicylic acid ( to remove pore clogging dead skin cells). start your new regimen out gradually because to much of these ingredients can (WILL) be drying, and use more more frequently as your skin adjusts. Give this product a few weeks to work well.
Products I like to use:
AcneFree face wash and lotion
Neutrogena Acne Stress Control
Wal mart brand 10% benzole peroxide cream..for bad spots($1.98)
St. Ives oily/blemish prone apricot cleanser
I know how frustrating the fight is!! Good Luck!
Proactive
its highly recomended

Can you recomend a good skin care product that moisturizes rough scaly skin?
I have a patch of skin on my ankle that is rough, scaly and discoloured. Can you recomend something that can make it less itchy and painful.
And yes my doctor has looked at it and she says that's not what skin cancer looks like, and that was that...Can you recomend a good skin care product that moisturizes rough scaly skin?
I can't believe your doctor didn't recommend or prescribe something for it. To me it sounds like you may have a patch of eczema. There are a few creams you can use to get rid of it. First for the itching use a cortizone cream or Benadryl cream and let that dry on there then to moisturize the dryness and et your skin pretty again use eucerin cream. It's more like a paste but that stuff is good. Years ago I babysat a toddler who had been born with no oil glands in his skin so imagine how dry and scaly his skin was and I put eucerin cream on him before bed and that stuff made him feel sooo good. I hope this advice helps. Let me know how it turns out. mmflyn801@yahoo.comCan you recomend a good skin care product that moisturizes rough scaly skin?
Aveeno products work great....you can get the collodial oatmeal bath and mix it into a paste and put it on the area at night and then put Aveeno lotion on it during the day
the oatmeal will help in the healing process and it soothes
Alpha-Keri products are designed for your problem exactly.
The Body shop has Some Great Body butters that work and for something even Stronger Tea Tree oil helps with that sort of thing!
Sounds like excema maybe? Um, I use Aveeno baby wash and I just picked this hemp Malibu lotion from wall mart.. Yea I know... sounds totally off the wall right! But seriously, it helped me like over night and it doesn't leave your skin looking shiny and oily like Sheah butters tend to do to me!
E45 is very good, ive tried it before
goodluck
Try Aquaphor-Eucerin. you can find it pretty much anywhere.
I use this product and it really works.
you look like someone of color. if so, and or otherwise, i recommend getting african shea butter. none of that stuff you find in wal-mart or anywhere else that's corporate branded that sells corporate branded products. if you go to flea markets and see black merchants with it then get it, it's worth it. it's yellow and hard, has a pretty good fragrance. once you rub it between your palms it breaks down fairly well and looks and feels greasy, but not so much really. email me if you need more info. hope this helps.

Hello,
I have been where you are., searching for the right skincare routine. It wasn't until I experimented with a natural approach (and the tweaking of my eating plan) that I've seen long-term results. You don't need commercial skincare products to treat wrinkles, age spots, and puffy under eyes.
Natural (and cheaper) alternatives:
1. Age spots: Rub raw lemon juice on the age spots. They will become lighter.
2. Wrinkles: Do you have tumeric powder and sugarcane juice? Mix these two together and apply to wrinkles. Use this 2 times a day. This helps remove wrinkles.
3. Puffy eyes: Use virgin olive oil under the bone of your eye everynight. Also, place raw potato slices over your eyes for 15-20 minutes.
I hope that helps you out. If you need any more assistance, please feel free to email me.

Someone told me about this remedy that worked for them. I tried it and have made it a daily ritual with wonderful results.
1 tsp raw honey
2 tablespoons heavy whipping cream
Mix together vigorously. Dip your fingertips in the mixture and with a gentle massaging action, apply it to the wrinkles, folds, lines whatever.
Leave on for a least a half-hour or longer is better. good time for a bath.
you'll feel it tighten on your face. Splash off with tepid water.
Do this everyday and you will be impressed with the results.
Its best you use Clinique products. Its hypoallergenic and I've proven its best for my skin. Or why not ask you dermatologist so you can use a skin care that's best for your skin.

Hello,
I have been where you are., searching for the right skincare routine.
Time Wise Mary Kay. The Miracle Set was designed for your customers who want a daily, age-fighting skin care program that鈥檚 customized to deliveryounger-looking skin.
HOW DOES THE MIRACLE SET WORK? As the skin ages, its renewal rate slows. It becomes drier, less firm and less radiant. The Miracle Set works to counteract these processes by removing dead skin cells, reducing fine lines and wrinkles,
keeping the skin moist, energizing the skin鈥檚 cells and rebuilding the skin.
鈥?Gentle cleansing beads in TimeWise庐 3-In-1 Cleanser and TimeWise庐 3-In-1 Cleansing Bar remove dead skin cells through exfoliation.
鈥?A patented鈥?complex in TimeWise庐 3-In-1 Cleanser and TimeWise庐 Age-Fighting Moisturizer reduces fine lines and wrinkles by accelerating the skin鈥檚 natural renewal process.
鈥?A dream humectant blend in TimeWise庐 Age-Fighting Moisturizer keeps the skin moist.
鈥?Nourishing botanicals in TimeWise庐 Day Solution Sunscreen SPF 25鈥? help energize the skin鈥檚 cells, while UVA and UVB sunscreens help protect the skin from sun damage.
鈥?An anti-aging peptide in TimeWise庐 Night Solution stimulates collagen to smooth and firm the skin.
WHAT MAKES THE MIRACLE SET DIFFERENT FROM OTHER DAILY SKIN CARE REGIMENS?
Mary Kay offers one of the only complete daily age-fighting skin care systems that can be customized by skin type. The products in other skin care regimens in the marketplace may not be designed to work together to deliver the best results, but the Miracle Set pulls the pieces together. It鈥檚 a collection of skin care products that are formulated to work together to deliver the benefits your customers need for younger-looking skin.
After a 12 week clinical study dermatologists saw
83% had a reduction in fine lines and wrinkles.
Up to 25% improvement in skin elasticity.
100% had softer, more supple skin.
49% improvement in more even skin tone

I'm in my 50's and have spent a bundle on upper end products and every other advertised skin care routine.
